Franks wild years as a 15 year old here. It was an odd album the first time i listened, so i listened again, and again. Ill turn 37 in a month, and Tom Waits has helped me through the darkest periods of my life.

The songwriting is clearly great, but the drunk old hobo covered in soot and barnacles schtick really grates on me Are there any albums where the vocals, instrumentation, arrangements are more I don't know... pleasant sounding?
