In between the 8th and 9th floor we come across Riku and he's even more of a drama king. Let's try to jog his memory with a good card battle.
This time Riku is packing sleights so keep some zero cards in hand to break them or you'll take some heavy damage.

Lol i'm mad that you can do it on proud mode but then i'm stuck here trying to kill him on standerd and I keep getting killed
Awe. In this game the most important tip I can give is to break the enemies cards as soon as possible. Its a number game most of the time so keep some zero cards and use sleights whenever they use high number cards. Watch out for their zero cards though. If you see a zero wait for them to use it then counter back. Hope this helps.

(Proud mode)Strike Raid Sleight really helped. You stun him and can either get some breathing room to heal yourself or reload cards you need.
I found Larxene to be harder than Riku.
After like an 50 minutes or an hour, I finally beat him!
I was so relieved when I finally beat him 😅😅😅 I was ready to give up honestly 😪

I just beat him the first time and it took me like 4+hours (the easier version before this fight), I just got to this fight yesterday and was PISSED I had to fight him again so soon lol I did some research and had no idea sleights were so OP. I was relying on Goofy Smash but I need to change my strategy lol
I dont really like this game but this is one of my favorite cutscenes in the series
Yea im playing thru it now and many aspects are kinda monotonous game play wise i also just cant get on with the card bassed combat
But i think the story is actually pretty good as is the concept
But i think if i revisit these games in the futer ill just watch all the cutscenes for this on rather than actually play it
@@zachthezombie honestly I still haven’t beaten this game got too repetitive and I know that’s weird to say for Kingdom Hearts but I can deal with repetitive when it’s fun and I don’t think this game is fun.
@@Infinite_Repeat yea i get get ya verry boring leval maps and combat its just kinda tedious mostly with a few moments of joy but they are few and far between
I dont hate it most the time but some parts im kinda just hoping it will hurry up and end or get to the next cutscene lol

how can he cancel your sleight with a 0 when he's actually taking damage??... makes no sense, one of this system flaws.
And the fact he goes through his cards at the SPEED OF LIGHT.
I really wish the shortcut system in this game allowed you to bookmark sections of your deck rather than a specific card. I keep losing this fight because I just can't heal fast enough or Riku stun-locks and kills me before it's physically possible. I have even less health than you do so this feels like Kingdom Hearts 2 critical mode.
My deck is fine with a crap ton of 8 and 9 attack cards (going for an attack card specialist build) plus a few '9 potions' to keep me in the fight way longer than Riku's deck can last (I'm still attacking while he has to reload lol). However, healing is the big problem here as by the time I select the card, sleight my heals, cast, and then return to pushing the offensive he's already finished me off or shaved off my health bar again. I'll get it though; just a matter of attempts. Another issue is he can micro-attack as in land damage even before you can break his card.

Helm Split was easy to dodge after you get glide, just dodge roll and glide at the 3rd strike

@@nesstar64yea i always had the zero cards and a 9-9-9 lethal frame or any other sleight just incase for breaking dark aura. Helm split is still easy, but i can't avoid the weird circle raid looking attacks, i mean i can avoid the projectiles, but not the melees after that
