    4 days left, and i can ride my thrux again. only the thought gives me goosebumps. Away from stress, from anoying people and all that stuff. Only you, the bike and the nature. Rumblin´ through bavaria and the alps up and down - thats life, thats how you feel alive, shifting down and let the world pass. And the echo of the bike is like thunder in the valleys and tunnels. And you pass Bikercafe after Bikercafe, you don´t want to rest you want to ride till this little yellow light says "fuel is empty - feed me" - have a nice season guys^^

    • @ThePolarisGman
      @ThePolarisGman 9 років тому

      The winter. In Germany you can have a numberplate from April to October and you can drive in that period. Pro you save money - con you can´t drive in the winterseason

    • @ThePolarisGman
      @ThePolarisGman 9 років тому +2

      Most of the time its cold and wet around the area of Munich. Snow is not rarly there are only a few days worth riding. In the rest of Bavaria its even harder. And the other point is the salt on the street. So i choose to save the money and wait the 5 months

    A nice movie about the freedom on two wheels.........with realization of the "Events" with everything what belongs to it. Congratulation for this ride! Sometimes, dreams are not so far away. Ride on.......feel and taste the smell of freedom ;-) Greetings from Germany.

    Wonderful Film.
    That's it.... one can see you all having a good time.
    Last year i had ride here in europe with Friends of mine....
    One time at the journey we had to ride all night long, through a heavy thunderstorm.
    Nothing else gives you an idea of what live is all about.
    When Lightning strikes and you can see all the landscape around you .... just to be left back in the darkness with your 6Volt Lights a second later...
    It was a "once in a lifetime feeling" .
    Now I'm sitting here with a broken leg 'cause a car chrashed in to it as i rode my ARIEL.

    All these people commenting "hipster bullshit this" and "hipster bullshit that" are missing the point. Isn't it better that a bike film has been made to take up some space online rather than not at all? If you're into bikes, regardless of the type, enjoy the bikes and be happy it's not more Justin Bieber spewing in your ears

    All I see is a bunch of guys and gals having a great time making a video. Bikes free you up, let you go where you normally can't, in a car, even a convertible, you are sheltered from the elements, not so on a bike.I remember one ride, floating down a country road, and a Red Tailed Hawk swooping in front of me, matching my speed, staying just in front, wow, what a feeling!

    There's a great comment by a world champion surfer Stuart Entwistle (Twizzle) "the best surfer in the line up, is the one having the most fun." - same applies for riding motorbikes.

    I think you've captured something great with this video. To me it looks very professional and honest. It captured the free spirit of the adventure that we all seek. Most of us can only dream of an adventure and this gives us all a little hope that there is a little left out there for us all. Thats why we go to movies right? We get to live it for a few minutes. You don't have to be the best, baddest or fastest. If it makes your heart beat a little faster and you and enjoying yourself and others Im for it. I do love the vintage bikes and the photography too. A new bike would not have the same appeal for me though thats cool too. Making something out of nothing or a successful trip out of a 40 year old bike? To me thats part of the adventure. Keep them coming.

    I was 20 years old.. riding my first sporty 1200.. this video led me to riding el mirage on dirt bikes with friends. Rode up to Ventura to the iron and resin store and Curtis’ house bar. Spoked to him nervous as hell but Scott G was not there. Surfed a few stops along the way, and watched the premier of a random surf movie in town. After drove back to Pasadena to go bar hopping with some old friends and stayed the night at their place. I had just got a gf now my wife and was sitting in my friends roommates room, talking. I knew where it was going but stood up and walked out. Met their neighbor and played super smash bros and smoked weed with him haha. Shit. Came back to their apartment to my buddy and his girl passed out naked with techno blasting. Turned off the music, threw a blanket over them, never stole a glance, not even for a second and fell asleep on the couch. A decade later, Im sober 2.5 years. Wife kid, house, good job, no bike… sold it for my student loans. Now I downhill mountain bike for some two wheeled thrill. I do wonder if its better in the wind.

    I loved it, there is so much in here that is inspirational. (I agree - half way through I was itching to go for a ride somewhere, anywhere on my own sled). Disregard some of the comments in here about how "they" would have done it and how much more "real" hardcore bikers they are ... this is YOUR film with YOUR friends (and great friends they seem to be), you shared it with the rest of us, and I for one appreciate it very much. Thanks for doing it, thanks for uploading, and I hope you have many many more rides in the future.

    I really don't understand the hate here !!! Because they're dressed like old times and got café racer bikes means their fake ? what if they just love how it was back in the days !!! It's not because you ride moderns bikes that people from these days can't have an interest in old fashion bikes !!! If you are a true Rider who loves to ride you should just be happy for the others to love this passion !!! Which is Riding for life !!! Riders are a community and a strong one !!!! Moderns , café racers , old times who the fuck cares ?! At the end of the day we all have the same passion and interest !!!! Peace Out

      The only evidence I saw of trailering was for racing around the salt flats, which is actually a good idea so you can maximize fuel use on the flats or if you take a huge fall while blasting around out there.

    Liked it, good job. I only got to do it once, despite riding now for about 38 years, due to money and work issues. We did an easy 2-300 miles a day, wanting the fun of the campout every night, young, dumb, and never buttsore.
    Mid-sixties, I ride a highly modded performance cruiser (Harley) and still love it all the same, save for posers, cynics, and dweebs on those dang little whizzy-pop scooters going 25-30 mph. Oh, and outlaws, who are really usually just dangerous posers.
    Who is or what is the song at 10 min? Love that raspy voice and the melody!

    I see there are other vids similar to this commercialized hipster nostalgia floating around. Some of them are sponsored, like the Edwin Jeans vids. I come from a long line of motorcyclists, owners of BSAs, Vincents, Yamahas and Harleys. To me, if you can watch this and gain an interest in motorcycles I think it does its job. It's true these are rich kids with a chase truck who perhaps aren't truly credible, but the image itself isn't entirely false; anyone can buy a retro-bike, like a Triumph, Royal Enfield or a Harley Davidson and go for a long ride. I did it 30 years ago and had a lot of fun. Remember that the dream in this video is based on the real life of motorcycle tramps of North America who roamed the continent (and still do), and Café racer/ton-up boy styling of the 1950s. So don't feel exploited if you have the desire to do this. Bikes are a blast. Enjoy.

      Ayuh , true enough..and I have been guilty myself on following the fashion line rather than true biking spirit during the early days of HOG . 25 years later I feel I can somewhat reflect on things and feel happy enough to get around as a regular Joe 6 pack , no matching attire , no 60 dollar bandana , no clean shaved head and matching beard, no 50's cap etc.etc.. Part of it is growing up I guess and part of it is really be " free" and give a damn about what others might think of a guy riding a chopper whilst sporting regular flip up helmet instead of a 50's retro jet signed by Roland Sands. But indeed, I still enjoyed the movie and just take it for what it is...a movie.
