This really is such an underrated scene. People don't understand how much vulnerability it takes someone like Jinx, with all of her guilt and abandonment issues, to still hope her sister would come for her after killing their family. It's really such an astronomical amount of bravery and love for Vi to put herself out there in the face of being rejected by the only person she has left from her family, when she has every indication in her mind that she would be denied. It's simple, but once you really put it in the context of Jinx's fear and guilt, you can see which reactors really understand the depth of the scene as they cry.
The second she comes to know her sister is around she became little Powder asking her sister to come rescue her and it is devastating, also the music... my god, the music.
@Jinx Powder Yeah true, underrated is the wrong word choice here. Apologies. I think I meant more to point out the surface appreciation it gets. I think most people enjoy the scene because of the reunion rather than seeing the deeper reflection it was of Jinx's vulnerability.
i get chills every time the music kicks in with the flare. It’s such a rush of emotions when you know all that happened before, and the song just pushes you past the breaking point
Mylo and Claggor shown as constantly with Jinx is so sad. She carries the guilt of their deaths with her always and this scene truly reflects that. This one always gets goosebumps from me.
I grew up in an environment that punished vulnerability, instead of encouraging it when there's the separation degree offered by art and I'm alone I can truly open up and express emotions, the same can not be said of other parts of my life result: I cried more watching arcane in the solitude of my room than I did at my grandpa's funeral in the presence of my family

THIS SCENE IS SO EMOTIONAL THO!! I watched Arcane with my friends during a sleepover and when we got to this scene we were all bracing ourselves for Vi to see Jinx's flare and we all literally screamed with relief when the flare ran out and we all thought Vi didn't make it in time only to hear Vi's "Powder?"
Silco losing his composure is great (him flailing around and then screaming shows nothing but pure and utter rage), Vi flipping off that random guy was funny, the whole scene with Jinx was tragic especially seeing Clagger and Mylo are always “there” with her to remind of her of her mistake. I also like it all ties into the theme of “What could’ve been” if Vi didn’t stop to flip that guy off odds are she wouldn’t have seen the flare.
That'll be even more emotional,if they know, that Jinx's smoke tatoo, is literally a signal,to say every single second, she needs Vi,and she's calling for help- Also, the faces of Claggor and Mylo, are the last one she saw,as everyone, that makes the scene slap even harder, because she remembers it TOO well- (Sorry if I made some mistakes,I'm french-)
I'm never emotionally affected by anything while I'm actively watching a show or movie, I mean I understand what's happening and I realize when something is meaningful or impactful and this shot, at the time that it happened definitely hit me but it wasn't until I completed the season and compiled and processed everything together in my head, the whole story, the tragedy and triumph and gravity of it all that I can really fully feel the weight to it. I couldn't stop thinking about this show or Jinx's journey and the tragedy of her character for days after I finished this season. Watching this now it such a beautiful but heartbreaking moment knowing how it will end up.
My eyes widened up so high when I saw this scene. This show had broken me, and it never fails to get my eyes to well up instantly. The song is the best pairing with a scene that I’ve ever seen.
Oh ye, those reactors are known to deep dive into scenes of animation or movies or etc, so they empathized hard and understood that scene and honestly, we love to see it. Honestly, I was like that when I saw it as soon as I saw the flare and she lit it.
Best music combo and best scene in the entire awesome series. I loved how emotional everyone got. Whatever combo of writer/animator who made the choice to have the ghosts of Mylo and Claggor behind Jinx like that deserves all the awards.
This is my favorite scene in the show. Favorite song from the show. Tied with the finales of ep 3 and ep 9 for most emotional moments that never fail to make me tear up. When the camera on Jinx turned and showed Mylo wailing, it punched me in the gut the first time I saw it.
There is just so much to unpack in this singular scene and that's honestly what makes Arcane such a good show. Especially in animated films, it is so hard to portray accurate people and emotions due to time and budget constraints, but Arcane just went there. Honestly, this show takes the power of animation to the next level with the symbolism, songs, and just purely beautiful art and concepts. First you have the Jinx herself in this scene. Her character has literally been thrown through the gutter, and every time she thinks everything is safe and secure something comes along to take the ground out beneath her. After finally having hope that maybe, just maybe she can have Vi back, regardless of everything, she just breaks. She holds out hope that despite Vi's hatred for her (In her perspective) that her sister will still come when the flare is lit, just as she promised. I mean the fact that she could barely open her eyes during this entire exchange shows that deep inside Jinx needs Vi to be there when she opens them, and is honestly afraid she isn't going to be. This perfectly displays a common theme in Jinx's character and how the artists portray her through the art itself: She covers things she doesn't want to remember. Defaces them with graffiti in her mind and blatantly rejects everything until she cannot anymore. Just as she closes her eyes to ignore the possibility that Vi won't come. She wants so badly for the reunion, as seen in her tattoos themselves. Blue smoke arching all throughout her body, portraying the broken child who holds out desperately that her sister will return to her. Then, you have Vi in this scene. Throughout almost the entire series up tell now, Vi has no clue what became of her sister. Hell, she's likely convinced that Silco killed Powder, and blames herself for it. We see this in the guarded personality Vi holds, and her time in prison portrays her grief amazingly. It was heavily implied that Vi was abused and hurt in the prison system, that guards allowed inmates to beat her, and that Vi herself allowed it even. You cannot convince me that the proud Vi we knew didn't take those beatings because she convinced herself that this was her punishment. Her retribution not just for failing to save her family or leading her group to steal from Jayce in the beginning, but also for leaving her sister which caused her 'presumed' death. But the moment Vi sees the flare, we can literally see the desperation in her eyes. The need not only for Powder to be alive, but to want her. Once again, her tattoos portray this need: Mechanical parts that are reminiscent of Powder's genius, the thing that Milo mocked her for, the thing that Vi praised her for; the thing that ultimately destroyed everything in both their lives. And these parts are held together by the same blue smoke that would bring back both their worlds. Honestly, the symbolism in the tattoos are an art of their own. Next we have the appearance of Mylo and Claggor. So many people mistook what this initially was. They thought "Oh, it's like they're still there with her!" But the brute, devastating honesty of what this was is just so tragic. These figures represent Jinx's guilt, her insanity, her insecurities, and how she cannot move on from the past. The way that both of them are leaning on her, almost a part of her, shows how this guilt is weighing her down. How she cannot forgive herself, and fears that Vi will be unable to as well. They are also portrayed in their death scenes, further showing just how stuck Jinx is in the past. All throughout the series we see how Jinx blames herself for the incident and how her insanity twists and distorts her memories to further that guilt. Finally, we have the beauty that is the song. Honestly, props for Hideo and Woodkids for this brutal scene. This song is just a heartache by itself, but when used with this scene it practically breaks it. Even the song portrays Jinx's guilt, how she blames herself. The entire intro can be easily portrayed as Jinx's after thoughts of the incident. How she 'gambled' her families fates but 'lost control' over her creation. How her mistake caused the building, and thus her world, to 'come tumbling down.' How after Vi left her and Silco was all there, she had 'no time' and had to make the choice to go with him. How after the fuse that is Jinx has been lit, there was 'no turning back', further showing how there was never an option for Jinx to become Powder again. The song shows how one day is all it took for everything Jinx loved to come to go up in flames. This moment marked when Jinx lost all of her innocence, how Powder died and was reborn as Jinx. The fact that this song compares the lives of her friends and family to that of guns for hire is just poetic beauty. The entire next verse can all be seen as her decent into Jinx and more about her guilt than anything. How it weights her down, shown through the portrayal of Mylo and Clogger. Honestly, this show itself is amazing, and this singular scene is such a big part of why.
I have to confess that while watching I didn't get tears the entire show. Probably because I was to overwhelmed. When I see thr clips. Yeah now I get water

Jinx lighting that flare is a LITERAL cry for help and hope that hurts every time I watch that part, and most people reacting here actually hears it too
Silco was losing it because the one person that can take his daughter away went right through his fingers, remember Silco, like Jinx has major abandonment issues. Vi is a threat to him, not just because she threatened to destroy his organization but Vi is the only one who could possibly persuade Jinx to leave Silco. After Vander he wouldn’t be able to take another one he cares about leaving him. God, each of these characters are so deep and nuanced ❤❤❤

Did anyone else think she was using the flare as a trap to kidnap her at first?? The way she said she was going to prove herself
That’s what I thought until I saw her brothers’ corpse and heard Vi’s voice
This scene made me cry so many times that i lost count
all the poor people experiencing this in a group setting. they would have felt much different if it was a solo experience.
lo mas hermoso que he visto este año, sinceramente
1:36 I just reacted like the gilr on white. My only sisters' lost in drugs and apparently there's nothing to do. She's lost.
best reaction from this scene ive seen yet is from the React Pack, had the same goosebumps
This scene breaks me every. Damn. TIME! Its so good.
Conclusion, never watch the reactions of overly talkative people who lack the humility to think that what they say is more intelligent than the best scenarios, dialogues or intense moments.
Some should be avoided.
everybody huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurts
soooometiiiiiiiiiimes
EVERYBODY CRIES
I just wish I could wath Arcane for the first time again bro, it's just too good
8:11 So, Woodkid, CLEARLY not their jam. :D
God I wish I could experience this scene for the first time again
First bro was truly feeling every second :')
Я от начала серии плакала все, и до конца серии тоже... Как жизненно😢
Without this song the scene isnt nearly as good, props to the people behind the music and everyone involved with this show at all.
I didnt make me emotional, but it was a beautiful scene
What does Claggor represent in this scene? I know that Mylo represents her nagging doubts and negative thoughts but not sure about Claggor.
I love this scene
First rection the guy on the left is me
I like how i sob every fkin time
9:55 I love how all these girls are having such crazy reactions and then there is the girl on the far right who embodies the Blink-182 song… “I laugh at a funeral.” Love it! I’d date that girl. Lol
This fucking scene right here, man. As much as I hate to say it, it's fucking beautiful.
I relate so much to the first dude I cant even-
Bro, this fucking scene is strong
I FUCKING LOVE WOODKID
yo pensé que Vi no iba a ver el humo...dije "que timing"
The second girls would even cry if theres an ant sqashed 😂 they cry literally in every scene haha
I am so naive that I still wish and hope Jinx gets a happy ending
