Your boss doesn't know how lucky he is to have you, I love how you incorporate history and intelligence into each one of your videos. You come away not only entertained but you learn something new everytime.
Exactly, I could hardly believe how ignorant - never mind arrogant - that email (and apparently series of emails) was. That is a clear example of a boss who is only fit to work under other people, and would do much better if the roles were reversed and Alfie told him what was best for the channel. Because this Vic bloke hasn't got a bloody clue.
Yes. It’s one of the best football channels. After one of his videos you usually come away learning something new about football and something new about history/politics/economics/culture/geography
I watch the channel pretty much purely for the niche content. I know the youtube algorithm (and ad rev system) prefer 10 minute clickbait listicles over anything of quality but a 25-35 minute mini-doco on an obscure historical event in football is far more interesting to me than a boring recap of whatever is in vogue this week among the top 6 of the Premier League. I hope you can keep up the niche stuff without losing your job, maybe one day we will see an independent Alfie channel where you can take a month to write a doco about that time in 1926 when a kangaroo starred in goal for the Botswana Under-21 Women's team ;).
He already stated in a previous Q&A vid that his political views are "radical" and he certainly doesn't strike me as right wing so im petty sure he's already bought into "class consciousness".
@@theblackswordsman9951 yeah definitely :) i enjoy seeing him sprinkling in a lot of his personality and interests and thereby some more leftist ideas into videos that are still entertaining from a football perspective.
Alfie, be careful man! We love the interesting documentaries but we know sometimes a more mainstream video is needed to help calm the boss. If you ever do go independent I’m sure the viewers will go with you Keep up the great work!
@@Rahul_Shakha I think Alfie mentions in a video somewhere (if my memory is working) that the owner of HITC is just the money man, lurking behind the scenes and doesn't provide any content by themselves.

Watford has had only one president in recent years. His name is Mogi Bayat and he's a steady friend of the Pozzo-family. He also governs Udinese and most of all FC Nantes. He's also the Jorge Mendes of Belgian football, having a dominant position over player trafficking in the entire Pro League. Talking about that Pro league, his brother Mehdi is the official president of Sporting Charleroi in it, and was untill recently even the president of the Belgian Football Federation. Just to show you how far his strings reach.... He's also been linked with San Siro in the past couple of years.

Manchester United is Brazil, historical powerhouse and most powerful with big trophy cabinet facing problems in recent history with incredible future stars and dependent on 2-3 players.

My first thought. 👊🏻

In the most hilarious way.
I hope so, because this was AWFUL compared to the standard the channel has set.

I think the first bit was a joke….
I wish the kangaroo thing actually happened!!
I am literally tortured by the algorithm everyday. NO VIDEO SURPASSES 10 SECONDS IN MY RECOMMENDED AND IT'S TORTURE. AHHHHHH
Doesn’t the algorithm support long video with longer engagement times?

The combination of extensive research and the "I've been forced to do it" delivery makes this video incredible

Comparing present players to past players
