Best lesson on UA-cam you can't go wrong with Kim there's a bit of everyone off the old school harp players from big and little Walters to sonnyboy great stuff,
Alex, I think you are one of the three best harmonica players in the world, along with Howard Levy and Jason Ricci. I know you have ambitions beyond the harmonica, but I wish you would put together structured lessons on the harmonica for online subscription. (not Skype) If you do, put me on your list.
Excellent Alex, it would be great if you did a similar one on the playing style of the great Paul deLay. An incredible and very original harmonica player, with less recognition than he deserves. Greetings from Uruguay!
Do tongue blockers like Kim Wilson sometimes play primarily out of the right side of the tongue and mouth? In other words, I know they open both sides for octaves and intervals, but do some of them not corner switch and just play Melody off the right side?
I don't tongue block with the exception of playing splits. I'm working on tongue blocking to fatten up my bassline shuffles. What I do to fatten up my sound while lip pursing is inflate my left cheek like a trumpet player and use it to deliver a burst of air while sometimes slightly opening my mouth to allow a slight bleed over into and adjoining hole. That seems to work for me and it adds a nice tonal effect.

Add me to that list. Your videos have taught me as much as any other paid teacher I’ve used.
Great demo
Man!! Amazing stuff!! You should do a video only with Sonny “Rice Miller” Boy Williamson’s phrases ☺️

What about you? Do you corner switch for the leaps high to low when tongue blocking? Or keep playing single notes out of the right side?
@@janpeters-jansongsproducti1010 I keep it on the right side

круто)
Seems you're tongue blocking mostly everything and like on 'Leaps' are you tongue switching to get down to -2 like at 5:47?
Kim tongue blocks the whole harmonica... I learned this technique and now I'm overblowing with tongue blocking 🖐️
