One epic last stand I was ambushed by the skaven with reinforcements. The artillery died quickly but Inwas able to pull cavalry and pistoliers into space. Some scrambled fighting later and I somehow managed to set up a firing squad at one end of the valley and could use the cav and captain to make sure the reinforcements funnelled right into it. It was glorious.
@@MalleusGaming57 this video was like a little Monty Python skit between the halberds and that last charge from the Black Knights as they disintegrate lmao
Fight some one with more Leadership. This is a bad example because your vampire lord probably could have killed that army by himself with wind of death. just hide your cav, let them blob and cast. Then mop up with the cav. Not to mention they could not use winds of magic, which is a huge problem, if they had a life wizard healing that lord you would have lost or a death wizard negating your healing.
Men At Arms, basically peasants are just overall weak and low morale so it's already a won battle with much superior units, despite being outnumbered. All you really did was just a rear charge attack into a blob of extremely weak and poor morale units with a charging, large unit that are of high quality. A true hammer and anvil technique is a rear attack with multiple flanking units where the blob of enemies are now nearly or fully attacked on all sides. Would have liked to see hammer and anvil technique in a full battle with quality units on both sides...
I mean yeah Men at Arms aren't anything to be feared, but if I wasn't careful they still would have shredded my Black Knights, the Anti-Large Bonus they get gives them a decent boost to their Melee Attack and Damage, plus the Armour Piercing. This was like @MrBigBranch said more of a concept battle, something I thought was just interesting
What seemingly hopeless battles have you ended up winning? What armies were involved and how did you pull off your epic victory?
When utilizing this tactic be sure that the anvil is sturdy to absorb the charge. For your mom's bed was not.
Heyoo!
lmao wtf
I appreciate you making this and your new video. They were shared amongst my play group. Big thank you for your wisdom
Love the Warhammer III tactics videos! I find this game tough to play, but your strategy showcases have helped me a lot. Keep 'em coming!
Awesome! Thanks so much bro glad these have been helpful for you! I definitely will and thanks for watching!
Right when I try another tactic, hammer and anvil pulls me back in
Haha you can never escape! It won't let you!
Hammer & Anvil is the stealth archer of total war.

That sounds epic! Did you use your Cav and Captain to lure the reinforcements into your firing line then?
I mostly didn't have to as the AI was not being sensible but whenever a unit or two went off to the side I lured the back in
Full cavs roster. Hammer & Hammer tactic.
Charge from the front with the trait that doesn't care where you charge from and then from the back two hammers not nails.
Lmao when all you've got is a hammer right?
i didn't see this get posted earlier but i have questions on your army comp this early in a campaign xD
Lmfao I said not to ask questions! Now they know... now they'll find you... :P
That one halberd unit that is just doing suicide sprints the whole time lmao... RIP
Lmao I almost felt sorry for those poor buggers

I suppose I should have said this was Turn 2 in a Campaign, no characters would be levelled and that was basically a starting army for an AI faction
Malleus Gaming Face reveal Ayooo?
Lmfao I could probably use a bit of sun eh?

While you are completly correct, I think its just a concept battle.
