I know we are supposed to be looking forward to Jesus coming back, but my heart is heavy for unsaved family and friends
That is what I was thinking. Jesus came to save them also and we should want to share that even more .( I wish that had been included in this interview.) Being a light and praying for loved ones is the best we can do. Holy Spirit can reach them where they are, There is still hope!
I can help you with that concern maybe, it wont be a short comment though. Ok, here goes...
I was hurt horribly by my own family and friends as a small boy. My mother and two close-in-age sisters had destroyed my entire life, then they had everyone we knew help them to torment me until the day I was able to leave home after turning 18. I repressed the sick and horrible memories because no boy would ever want to recall any of them. They out-of-the-clear-blue-skies, suddenly came flooding back in very vivid detail on March 17 2021. I was crying at the time because I had dropped a heavy object on top of a table of things I've loved for years and had assumed every cherished item was now broken and lost forever, but they miraculously hadn't been hurt any at all. But it was right then that all the memories had returned, my entire life made complete sense to me after that. Then, I remembered the dreams I had had soon after being violated by those four men while my mother had held me there screaming, crying and pleading. Those vivid dreams are why I am sharing this with you. You mentioned how heavy your heart feels for your 'unsaved' family and friends, and I would like to share something God told me in the dreams He allowed me to have. I will preface the following by saying, "May God punish me for eternity if I am telling lies by what I am about to share" just so you know how honest I will be. Quite a bold statement, huh? I'm perfectly comfortable with asking for eternal punishment from God like that because I know that NO small 8 year old child could have had the dreams I had, or somehow conjured them up. Ok, I tried to save my family that I still loved very much by telling them all about my dreams. It made them puzzled regarding how I could describe the same vivid detailed dreams for them, over and over again each time when they had asked me to. It really confused them, but it didn't make them want to know God or even believe in Him at all. Now, for explaining the point of all this... I had asked God about my family who didn't believe in Him and had hurt me so badly. He asked me what I wanted to do about them. I told God that they were just sick was all, and I wanted them SAVED because I still loved them very much! He told me to "Go, grab 'love' and pull it up!" I knew right away what God had meant. While we were slowly walking, I had seen a multitude of people down below us as we were speaking together. I went up to the edge where I could look down to see and I saw my family was in the front row right down in front of me. I couldn't see any way to reach them or even pull them up to God and me if I had wanted to. I was too little, and I wasn't about to jump down there where everyone had an anguished look on their face! But when my mother had looked up to me with that tormented, sad and hopelessly lost look on her face, I yelled, "MOM! Grab "love" and pull on it!" and I threw out my arm to her. It stretched like a rubber arm would all the way down to right in front of her. My mother blinked a few times, like she would always do when thrown a surprise curveball, then she got the happiest look on her face I had ever seen when she understood that her son who she never loved still loved her so very much. She grabbed onto my hand and my arm started retracting back up to me again. But, my mother had forgotten all about my sisters and some others that we knew that were right down there with her. Her joy had been that strong. I said, "Mom, now don't forget "Jackie!"" who is my older sister. She immediately looked, then threw her own 'rubber arm' down to my sister. Soon a chain of "unsaved" people were taken from an area they had been held tightly packed in while in torment.
Well, that's about all I can share with you. I was allowed by God to save my sick family through honest love for them. He told me that I could, it was His idea, even. "LOVE", it's more than we think it is. That honest love had created a changed heart in my mother finally. I honestly believe God showed me something that would happen later, but I can say that for certain. What happened might be a metaphor God allowed me to experience. I did get to pull my family's love to me though. One day, we'll all be 'finally awake' and will be judged even by every thought we think are and have been hidden. May God come to those who cry out to Him like He did for an unloved hurting little boy in a set of comforting, detailed and informative dreams... something like He did for me. Try to have a child's hurting heart, maybe that's what it takes, a broken child's humble heart that only wants to love love love and have everybody else give others that much love love love, too.

@@surgedeb "Everybody has to live with the choices they've made" consequentially while on earth, but I'll add not only "live" with choices we make, but "be judged by them each accordingly" on our judgement day. Oh, and also honestly judged for each bad THOUGHT that we believe are only our little secrets because who can actually read minds after all, ha ha. Yes, thoughts are who we are more than our actions are. ALL action needs a prior though to happen first anyways. Yes, I feel that I honestly better throw in all of THOSE 'consequential choices' thought-secret thoughts, dire warning too, before I go...hark?

My heart and soul also cries for family and friends, we must pray for them all. Prayer is powerful with the holy spirit.
Jesus please renew my faith because Lord these past three years have been so hard on me and my children. I want to give up. But I trust you Heavenly Father and I keep faith even as I struggle to pay bills and as I struggle to put food on the table for my two sons. As a single mother things are so hard on me. My husband passed years ago and both of my sons are autistic.Lord I’m overwhelmed. Father take away my fear of homelessness. My hours to work are limited because I’m now homeschooling my sons and what a difference I now see in them. Father God I’m so tired of constantly struggling. I’m so ashamed. But I choose to have faith as a christians that’s all I can do. Please hear my prayers. Faith is all I have left.
Keep the faith, God will provide, have been a single mom of three for the past 34 yrs my girls are older but I can testify God will provide . There was times the lights would be off but we made it through and you will too.

As Christians you should know better the interpretation of the 2nd coming of a beloved of God. Every eye can see him because there is a picture of him. Don’t be hasty in rejecting him. Do your research and above all pray. God has given you a whole lifetime to find the truth.

Jesus as a failed apocalyptic prophet is the general consensus of critical scholarship, *even critical Christian scholars* like Dale Allison. The Son of Man (Jesus himself?) was supposed to be an end of the world arbiter, as Bart Ehrman points out in his lecture referenced below, and as the Bible states he was supposed to come *within the lifetime* of Jesus’s followers. *It didn't happen.*
Read the article from the former Christian apologist and Tim O'Neill (former Christian), who has been studying the scholarship and history for decades, referenced below as well.

Jesus and the angels never appeared from Heaven, the stars never fell from the sky, none of these things happened. Nothing he prophesied happened.

Multiple Second Coming Visions in Revelation: (book not in chronological order )
Christ returns one time in the future. However, there are several different visions of His return shown from different perspectives in the Book of Revelation.
Christ returns at the end of Revelation chapter 6, with signs in the sun, moon, and stars, as are found in the Olivet Discourse.
Those at the end of the chapter are hiding from the wrath of the Lamb.
Why would they be hiding if Christ is not present?
The "kings", "captains", "might men", "free", and "bond" are also found in chapter 19 at the return of Christ.
He returns at the 7th trumpet, which is the last trumpet in the Bible, and the time of the judgment of the dead in Revelation 11:15-18.
The beginning of chapter 12 is a history lesson containing the fall of Satan, and the birth and death of Christ, who is the seed promised to crush the head of Satan in Genesis 3:15.
The Second Coming is found in the "harvest" of chapter 14, which is related to the parable of the wheat and tares in Matthew chapter 13.
He comes as a thief at Armageddon, and we find the greatest earthquake in history in chapter 16. This occurs when the 7th angel pours out his vial. How powerful is an earthquake which moves islands and destroys the mountains? What is happening to the planet?
He comes on a horse in chapter 19, right after the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
Chapter 20?
Does He come with the fire, and the judgment of the dead at the end of chapter 20, which agrees with what Paul said in 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10, and 2 Timothy 4:1?
(The time of the judgment of the dead is also found in Revelation 11:18.)
There are no mortals left alive on the planet at the end of Matthew 25:31-46.
Why does an angel come down from heaven with a key to unlock the bottomless pit in Revelation 9:1-2, if the pit was not already locked before that time? Are there wicked angels in the pit in Rev. 9:11? If the beast "ascends" from the pit in Rev. chapter 11, where was the beast before that time?
Does your view agree with Peter in 2 Pet. 2:4, and Jude in Jude 1:6, when they both said wicked angels are already in chains of darkness?
Revelation 9:14 proves some of the angels were previously bound in some manner.
Because the two witnesses were bodily resurrected from the dead in Revelation 11, the "first resurrection" at the beginning of Revelation 20 is not the first bodily resurrection in the book.
The principle of "Recapitulation" means there are multiple visions of His return.

My Pastor is 44 years old and he said he believes Christ will return in his lifetime. David Jeremiah, Pastor is 82 years old and he said he beleives Christ will return in his lifetime, too.

II Thessalonians 2:1-4, WE do not gather back to Christ until AFTER the Son of Perdition, who is Satan, stands in the Holy Place claiming to be Christ. Rapture believers know 2 verses of God's word and sit on their worthless buts waiting to fly away AND IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN!

I agree with Dr. Jeremiah a gazillion percent Praise God! I have been studying Gods Word for years. I love His Word and sometimes I wish I could just simply transfer all I’ve learned into the heart of a lost person because they don’t understand the Love Jesus has for us. How can we explain it when everyone is in such a rush. We can’t explain everything in a few minutes or hours. Only the basic which Is God loves us so much that he sent His sinless and perfect Son Jesus as a sacrifice to die for us , in our place on Calvary Cross, taking our sin upon Himself. I pray for the lost every night. 🙏

Has anyone besides me come to the realization that the Bible and the Book of Revelations are showing us what will happen if we choose to go down the path of death and destruction instead of life.
So many people want to have Jesus return that what they fail to realize is that Jesus may say to those people (depart from me, I never knew you), I am not anxious for the return of Jesus for that reason alone. I want Jesus to know me, and I want to know Jesus.

No rapture is spoken of in God's word. I Thessalonians 4:13-18 talks about Christ's return. The dead rise first IMMEDIATELY WHEN THEY DIE, Ecclesiastes 12:6-7.
What does an understanding of the New Covenant do to the Pretrib Rapture doctrine?
Since the New Covenant is “everlasting” in Hebrews 13:20, how is the New Covenant Church age going to end seven years before the Second Coming of Christ? Why would anyone think God is going back to the Old Covenant system now made “obsolete” by the New Covenant in Hebrews 8:13? We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24.
Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, modern Dispensational Theology falls apart, and the pretrib removal of the Church falls with it.
The Capitol "C" Church, as we use the word today, is not found in the entire Book of Revelation. Individual church bodies in ancient Asia Minor are found. In Revelation 12:11 we find those under the blood of the Lamb. A person cannot be under the blood of the Lamb and not be a part of the New Covenant Church of Jesus Christ. Verse 12 of this passage proves at least part of the tribulation period is the wrath of Satan upon the people of God.
Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Rev 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
"It may come as a surprise to most pre-Trib prophecy students that the post-Trib position (in its primitive form) is the oldest point of view."
(The quotation above is from the book "Will You Escape The Tribulation? RAPTURE [Under Attack]", by Tim LaHaye, copyright 1998, Page 197.) Tim LaHaye was co-author of the “Left Behind” books and movies which have convinced millions of modern Christians that the Church age ends seven years before the Second Coming of Christ. Recently, Pastor Matt Furse of Mountain View Baptist Church in Custer, S.D. has written a book titled “Which One Is Right?’, which reveals the recent history of the pretrib rapture doctrine, and the fact it does not agree with what is written in the King James Bible.
The gathering of the Church is described at the end of 1 Thess. Chapter 4, and the timing of the event is found in chapter 5. The word “But” in the first verse of chapter 5 connects the two chapters, and the words “we” and “sleep” in verse 10 of chapter 5 prove the two chapters are connected.
The Greek words for “wrath” and “tribulation” are not the same word, as proven by the verse below.

Luke’s gospel only records one of the three questions the disciples asked Jesus in the Olivet discourse i.e. Matthew chapter 24 so Jesus only answers the one question in Luke which was about when the destruction of the temple would happen. Nothing about the 2nd coming in Luke or Mark, only Matthew. So all the wars, famine, earthquakes, false christs, persecution, etc is dealing with the destruction of the temple that happened within one generation of the prophecy.
When I heard about the current war, I immediately remembered that we have another war that has not ended in Russia Ukraine. After that, I thought about nothing else but that Jesus is coming back, I would like to ask the pastor there as all this is happening, how do I live my life from this point forward because I can't help but have fear in my heart about Jesus's comeback while I don't think my life is aligned with him and what he asks of us. What can you say to me or someone like me to live a life that aligns with Jesus, in peace and not fear. By the way, I just subscribed. 🙂🙂🙂
