Thanks for the idea! You could actually make eco-friendly laundry detergent out of the chestnuts instead of bringing them back to nature, too. Horse chestnut is an awesome plant 😊
During a course I attended, we used clove essential oil. I believe that lavender is also a good substitute since it is also antibacterial. It is my undestanding that many plants that have been used to treat injuries, especially as wound dressings, have antifungal and/or antibacterial properties depending on the plant. Of course modern medicine is always more efficient, but it is a pretty interesting fact. As a great bonus, most if not all of these options smell really good 😂
