Sweet pods and Phyto! I am also super jealous you have the blue starfish!!! I’ve been wanting one of those and the red. Also those small starfish are asterina and they reproduce like crazy and take over. Smart move by not adding it. Overall tank is coming along and glad we both got rid of the cyano!
well its good to hear your tank is doing alright. id name the starfish big blue. but its maybe a little on the nose. lol. i also got my xenia coral my bangi doing fine and i just got my seahorses earlier today.
Go way light on the phytoplankton dosing. Ignore what the directions say and dose half if even that. Wait 24 hours and test nitrate and phosphate. The key to dosing is to make sure you're only dosing what the ecosystem can consume inbetween feedings or daily. When I first started, I had my base tests recorded. Dosed.. waited 4 hours.. tested again.. recorded... tested at 24 hours from dose. You want to be close to your base test results after that 24 hour period. Hope that makes sense. Adjust your dose to make that happen. A little goes a long long way on tanks that aren't packed to the nose bleed seats with coral. Pods and the phyto.. grab some Brightwell Coral Amino. 10 drops a day. I feed reef roids twice a week. Target feed a few and broadcast the rest. Tank looks way beter bud. If you want to raise nitrates and phosphates the phyto dose will bring them up.. just don't want to get too high.
