- Shahbaz is the name of the second plane of the Iranian royal family during the era of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. This plane was a Boeing 727, which was mostly used by other members of the Pahlavi family, and after that it was still used by Iranian government officials until 1998. Legally, this aircraft belonged to the Imperial Air Force of Iran during the Pahlavi regime and to Iran Air during the Islamic Republic. After the revolution of 1979 in Iran, the plane remained in the possession of the Air Force until it was handed over to Iran Air in July 1982, and its register was changed to EP-GDS and its name was changed to "Quds". But it continued to fly for the government of Iran until April 1991, after overhauling the Lufthansa facilities, it returned to the government's ceremonial fleet and continued to carry out domestic and foreign trips for government officials. The plane was finally retired in 1998.
Featuring lavish interiors adorned with fine materials and exquisite craftsmanship, the Shah's Boeing 727 was a masterpiece of design and elegance. Its spacious cabin was meticulously appointed with sumptuous seating, luxurious amenities, and state-of-the-art entertainment systems, providing a regal environment for conducting official business or hosting diplomatic meetings.
Beyond its lavish interiors, the Shah's Boeing 727 was also equipped with advanced security features and communication systems, ensuring the safety and privacy of its distinguished passengers. With its powerful engines and long-range capabilities, this prestigious aircraft whisked the Shah and his guests across the globe in unparalleled luxury and style.
