The defense would’ve done enough today to win, and the defense still needs a bit of work but with injuries, play calling needing better results and the offense not as productive in the end zone, it’s hard to beat teams. Philo is going to be a special player for us. He looks really good. Defensively we played the best game we played all year. We need to get more depth at LB but things are looking up. Offensively I feel like Buster is way too conservative especially with the run game. That needs to change.
Best game defense has played all year! Wish we could get it all going at once. But, this is what building teams go through, lots of ups and downs. I believe in Coach Key and the work this staff is doing. Go Jackets!!
Offensive play calling has to change. Running dives up the middle is not going to win the ball game. Not going for it 4 and 1 is not going to win the ball game. Either Buster is a bust and we need a change in coordinator or Key needs to light a fire under him.
Evaluation: Defensive line - A rating. Linebackers and DBs - B ( should have covered TE 2 plays up the middle the last for a TD). O Line- D rate. No holes. Slow. They are good at helping RB up off the ground. QB (Pyron) - C. Slow, immobile, doesn’t keep pocket alive with movement. Throws into coverage..Philo - potential but just slings it. Better with more PT… Punter Shannahan - get elevation.. no line drive returnable punts…..May be able to beat NC State definitely NOT Miami or UGA… Maybe next year… Quality of players has to get better. Hard to improve some current positions when they are at their 2 Star limits….D has definitely improved along with tackling…
Great Defense Offense is really lost, no confidence.. penalties, dropped balls and no identity FG unit looked great Philo=the future Pyron= interceptions are piling up, he looks better as a backup to Philo right now until Haynes returns (if he does), Philo throws a beautiful deep ball! My take is Haynes blew out shoulder and wont be back this year, was hurt all year(explains the lack of vertical game all year)and totally clapped it out against NC. Old injury from Texas a&m 2022. Have faith in Key, he is gettin hit from all sides and hes learning alot in a short amount of time. He doesn't take shortcuts and hes got VERY green Coordinators walking through the valley w him, learning...this can payoff someday I hooe Lookin forward to the package coming together someday, it could all fall into place any given Saturday .. this year! Can't get healthy when you play players that are hurt and shouldn't be playing -- wouldn't be surprised if you go 5-7 like last year, had it not been for the Miami miracle.
I'm frustrated as any with this lost, but WTF? Some of y'all are acting as if GT won the championship last year. This team needs to learn how to win in adversity, and OC Buster needs to stop calling the same plays 100 times a game. Doesn't work every year the same, call different plays for other QBs that's not Haynes King

Yeah,......"rest King bc the ND game didn't matter and save him for conference games" Isn't that all I heard last week 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦 Buuuuut I digress Its painfully obvious that King is more injured that that's been told, bc if it was just a sore shoulder or something simple, he would've played today. If he's practicing during the week, yet always day to day, then ruled out on game day, something else is going on?! Bottom line, if King doesn't play, we lose! The last two games have proved that! And for that guy here (I won't mention his name) that says well go 5-7 like last year.....um last year we finished 7-6 dipshit and went to our first bowl game in 5 years
Key has been disappointing. He needs a lesson on game management and yet again penalties are a problem. I know people were high on having 5 wins but its deceptive. The teams tech beat are a combined 11/22 (may be worse than that after today). As much as the offense has regressed and coaching mistakes persist he will be gone after year 3
That’s just flat bs. The D was excellent the special teams looked much better the offense has a hurt qb top 2 running backs and top receiver. Unfortunately a W does not mean you played well conversely a L does not mean you suck
Pathetic showing the past two games. Key is digressing as a head coach and Buster just needs to go as soon as possible. Santucci is the only one that has earned his keep this season. Last two games we have showed up with no game plan or creativity whatsoever on offense we didn’t even try to win. Gotta stop making excuses and show up to win. We will be lucky to make a bowl game at this point.

Won’t win another game… This team isn’t near as good or consistent as last years team… No bowl game… and honestly doesn’t deserve it.., Got HK hurt running him too much and needs to admit it… Listening to him talk proves he just isn’t the guy!!! Without HK he won’t win another game !!
