did you pay any money to upgrade gear or this damage realistically achievable for a f2p player? i wouldn't mind spending money on this game if i'm still playing in a years time but i've just started and dont wanna spend yet.

Yes you can get that DPS as a f2p player. It will just take longer than somebody who pays to upgrade his gear faster.
