I like that mower, if I could afford it. This would be great for handicapped homes. I can't mow the yard due to a wheelchair...but this would do it. This way cool and with a 3/4 acres to mow..I could do it again.😊😊❤
Not until I have to, only because I like mowing. Crazy, I know. I definitely see a market for it. It could help a lot of people mow their yards and even give them a sense of independence. Personally, I think it's awesome.
Ironic how I saw a commercial about this mower during this video. Showed the difference terrain it was capable of going over. I really enjoy this channel. I sure learn a lot. 🇺🇸
The 4WD model and bag full detection feature would be excellent for you to test. I'm so glad I saw you testing this. Dont need it but love tech, mowing and being able to take it places.
I think a few people have hit the nail on the head. Its a niche market tool. Disabled person may be able to mow their yard if they can use their hands, may be cant empty. Elederly people who have impaires mobility.
G'day Tim, I have over 20 RC Cars of different sorts so this would fit in so well at my place, so when the novelty wears off I know a good home 😉. For the spinning wheels yeah I think when the grass is this tall (especially also as thick as Buffalo with a super spongy base like here) you need to cut less new width rather than trying to cut full blade width, it did much better once you had done the first pass that was higher than the Front Bumper. While it was competent & did do a good job with a cut this long I'd say best suited to a regular shorter mow. Ps that fence with Steel Frame & Wood instead of Colourbond is interesting
Yep ive pledged for the AWD. Im a commercial mower and do loads of little courtyards and some areas on slope the zero turn cant get to. it may not be faster but after 10 lawns i wont be buggered
Yes! Yes, I would, and everyone I've shown has a similar opinion it looks like good fun. I still think it needs a display screen on the remote to show what you're cutting but otherwise it would be a very popular in my neighborhood.
Yes. I am disabled and legally blind. I did all of the yard and garden work. I hate hiring out. I could then cut when I want. Not sure of programming the robotic ones.
Would be ideal on a very hot day , I wonder if you can stand inside with the air con on and point the remote through the window . If the grass was not so long Youde only have to empty it a couple of times I guess 😉
I think it would be fun for the first few times, and then you'd just want to get out there and do it yourself, faster, getting the exercise benefit etc.
A novelty to me as I need the exercise, 😉 but I totally appreciate the self propelled function in my battery mower though, however, I have seen a remote large (ride on size) mower used on sloping banks & other places where it would be less safe to be etc. The drive in a self-propelled 'push' mower can tend to sink more into the ground & gain traction that way but I also need to push forward to keep the front down sometimes too though (I have an uneven back yard terrace area). Interesting information with the blade height compliance reasoning. I remember the talk about the annoyance with that 8 years ago when I got my 58V AEG (46cm) where it didn't have a relief cutaway in the front area & so the chassis tended to push the grass down & then not get cut properly. That was changed in later releases (including their twin 18V model), however, they brought out a stepped blade to suit their later models & now that cuts at the bottom of the chassis in my 8 year old mower (only used for a bit in the front now). The latest 21" SP AEG (58V) mower has had the chassis front edge cut out & then they have welded in a strip to lower that front edge a little, obviously staying within 'compliance' regulations for Australia.
👍👍👋🌿Jana 🌿
In regards to it getting stuck in the long grass, being someone who lives in a state where there is snow, the front wheels have to be straight or else you will get stuck. When driving a car in the snow and you get stuck you have to make sure that your front tires are straight to get unstuck. Same concept applies. You went straight from the walkway onto the grass and it didn't seem to have a problem but when you were on the grass in the tall grass and turned it got stuck for a moment. Just my opinion. This would be good for someone who has mobility issues but wants to cut their own lawn.
Hey Tim are you going to try the new Ozito robotic mower they sell it at Bunnings which is cool as it’s pretty accessible to us, was wanting to see if it’s worth the money to grab one?
One you can operate from the comfort of your couch similar to the Mario Kart live home circuit game. You'd have a first person view of what you're mowing and a specific spot that you can auto dump the clippings.
Seems like a feasible option for folks with mobility issues, COPD, injuries or surgery. Maybe emptying the bag would be all they could handle. I would make one run up the middle, then clear a turning radius area at both ends so the machine could just run continuously rather than doing a three point turn every time. What do the U-turn buttons at the top of the control unit do? You should be careful suggesting that safety features be removed because you don’t like them. People pay attention to you, and taking safety devices off might cause injuries and / or invalidate the warranty. Regulators won’t certify a machine if it is not safe to use. They may be an inconvenience, but so is losing a toe. You’d feel bad if that happened because of your advice, which may open you up to a lawsuit.
Would I use it? You bloody betcha I would. Mowing is one of the jobs I absolutely hate, so it would suit me. Also, my father in law is getting older and it pains me to say that it's going to eventually fall onto my shoulders to mow the shitful thing. Also my parents. A mower like this would mean I could park a camping chair next to the bin, and sit and drive the mower around. I would even make it come to me when it needs emptying. (Hence the bin next to the camping chair. ) Both my parents and my FIL's front and back lawns are separated by fences and or paths, so robot mowers won't work for them.
@@turfandtoolsmy wife is in ourcaravan up the SunnyCoast, I'm in bed with the hound, in peace, watching youtube. Your video popped up. And the answer was simple.
Nope. Mowing the lawn with remote control does not save time vs using a push mower. Push mower also gives you added benefit of exercise. I would prefer a fully automated robot mower over the remote controlled mower to give me spare time to spend time with family or enjoy my other hobbies.
No, I definitely don't want to use one. A strange product that sits between a Rider and an Automover. It does not save time, but causes problems when driving in medium-high wet grass. If I were given one like this as a gift, I would exchange it for something more serious.
Or get any RTK automower on the market and dont mow at all. Our EPOS Husqvarna maintains our 2 acres without any intervention, and it stripes the lawn. This thing is dead on arrival. This company will not survive, so I'd be very careful buying this knowing you won't have support in probably 2 years.
There is no way that I would consider one of these given the price. It may cut the grass but it really is just a toy for the lazy wealthy to play with.
Fantastic for the elderly/people with disabilities maybe, as long as the grass isn't too long👌💖

At the end of your video I got a UA-cam ad for the Mowrator, thought you would find that interesting.
Oh my gosh me too. Very cool how it showed all the different type of terrain it was able to maneuver.
Ironic how I saw a commercial about this mower during this video. Showed the difference terrain it was capable of going over. I really enjoy this channel. I sure learn a lot. 🇺🇸
If I was a kid and this was my chore, I'd be having a field day with this quite impressive!
It is a big catcher, I would use it, cuts very smooth😊

When under load is the power from the battery used faster
Yep, sure would.

around the 31min mark, were you going as fast as it could go? like could there have been a setting to make it go faster?
Does the 2 wheel drive empty the grass catcher empty automatically as the awd one
This may seem dumb but when it's at the lowest height setting to cut grass is able to go over curbs without blade hitting?
Tim enjoyed that 👍❤
It sure looks like you can apply weights to it. Let’s stop the tyres slippage.
Just sit on top of it while you're mowing around 😂
Q: does battery get warm? because I know hot days by battery mower battery don’t like heat as won’t recharge batter until cold down.
I haven’t had an issue with heat as yet 👍
hi told and turf. where would i be able to purchase one of these. i have half an acre of lawn in the sw of wa.and i'm getting older.cheers.

Interesting. What will they come up with next ?

Caveat Emptor, I ordered mower, they took credit card payment, shipped bag, but no mower!
Sounds like all the neighbors are up.
Wat about the edges 😮

@@turfandtoolsyou also need to watch the Short I made about my dad saying he "urgently" needed his lawn mown, and you'll see what I'm up against.
Probably easier to hire a service if you hate mowing so much. Might even give you a discount for three properties.
sounds like the voice on the remote in not english
Yes l would use it only thing l am bad at driving remote control car don't want to crash a lawnmower 😂
YES
Awesome. You are a Hot Australian Guy.
They have kickstart do you all think it’s legit ?
Rather do it by hand with A lawmower It will go quicker

Same. Auto robot so I wouldn't have to run it or be outside watching it the whole time.
For slopes and trees I think this would be awesome
One doesn't have to follow the mower as you mow.
You can sit on your porch unless the range sucks ass
Does it not have a mulch mode?
I want one to let my 85 year old neighbor mow her own yard.
@@MichaelRobibaroit did in another video, they used it without the bag on
😊😊😊

$2800 plus shipping, no thankyou.

No way. I could be done with the yard by the time I put batteries in the remote!

There speaks someone who has no mobility problems. I would definitely get one if I had to rely on me keeping the grass down.
