Nice work! Was the kit designed to have the flaps lowered or did you have to modify it?
The kit provides movable surfaces as well as folded wings and open radar 😋

Very nice job so far! Kit structure and engineering similar to Fujimi model of F-18. I've built one of it, same way of assembling! Really nice!

I love fine details, so these larger scale kits always really interest me. Unfortunately I'm quite restricted when it comes to shelf space, which always ends up putting me off getting them. Maybe I'll build a display cabinet myself that can be as big as I want, just so I can finally make some big things like this.
You are right large scale offers more room for small details

dang, its hard for me to make a decision for a new kit...there are so many good 1/32nd kits on the market...otherwise I would buy the Hobby bosses 1/18th scale AV-8B, or Tamiyas F-4J Phantom in 1/32nd...but its hard to make a decision...anyway, great video, and nice work on it! keep it up!

Thank you for sharing, These kits are quite expensive today in 2023. I was wondering if it was worth spending US$250-$300 for the D version double seater. I didn't see the air intakes for the engines. Did you have any major issues there?. Normally intakes are painfull and as this kit has already been around for a long tome.

@@PerisModels thank you for the response. How about the CF-188 decals (Canadian) Last time I built an Academy kit was 20 years ago maybe a bit mmore. I remember the decals were not optimal. I can't find any aftermarket 1/32 decals with the std camouflage, without those colorful markings. Do you know of any I could by.

Michael, if you can find a Kinetic 1/32 Hornet kit, it's the exact same kit, but you get parts to build a single and dual seat.
@@yxeaviationphotog is the kinetic as good as the academy?
@@PerisModels It's the exact same kit. Academy just reboxed by Kinetic. But with the Kinetic boxing, you can built an A through D Hornet.

Hi Peri. Purple Glue. I know Tamiya cement applicator is white and Tamiya extra thin is a green applicator but I have never seen a purple applicator you used at 9.04 in this clip. Love your work by the way. I bought a GWH 1/48 Su35 after watching your build on that model. Thank you for the video's.

I have long awaited a new video build of one of the most classic 1/32 kits ever made. I have built a couple versions of Trumpeters F-18s and have this kit on order.
