This might be a very nitpicky question but it kinda weirds me out a little since I'm using several SCH povs to plan out my mitigation, what makes you know you're getting a guaranteed crit/catalyze adloqium on yourself and to be able to save recitation to indom later on, like what or who is giving you that guaranteed crit shield, is it by luck or chance?

Hey! That's a sound question don't worry. So usually if you see a non-reci critlo you must assume that the SCH didn't mean to do it; and that the party would have survived either way.
If you do get a random critlo though, it's your freedom to try and remove one mit or one heal in the aftermath, and you would most likely do ok without it.
For instance, in the transition P3>P4 I do a spreadlo without recitation followed by a Fey Illumination to reduce damage by 5%. In my runs where this Adlo crits, I usually delay this Illumination for it to cover something else.

@@yukizuri oh so is it fair for me to assume when you do a adlo spread even if it doesn’t crit you will supplement it with fey illumination? So you don’t usually have Protraction+Recitation+Team Deployment up at the same time at any given time? And like, you have the spells and skills on hold till you know you need the guaranteed crit adlo spread?

Thanks for answering my question too btw Yuki, I really appreciate it. Since I used to be a H1 and now I’m playing H2 for my first ultimate raid I just found some newfound stress and anxiety from this. Hahaha

@@FynitieLockheart Ah don't worry!
So since the change of our weaving capabilities (meaning we can weave the Deploy oGCD anywhere since Endwalker) you should actually use Deploy more often, even without recitation since it's just a better succor in most cases (it doesn't heal people though!)
There will be times where you want to buff it over the top with Reci, Protract, or Fey Illum but that shouldn't be the only use case and you should do that if you actually need the bigger shield. Else Protrac would be better for tank maintenance and Reci on indom or excog.
