Fricken awesome. I saw them on that tour in 92 in Milwaukee . Acoustically that song kicks arse as well . Most underrated band of all time ! Thanks for posting.
OOOHHH, I want one of those Wild Silas T-Shirts. Those original albums Sam Taylor was involved in are the best, as well as Dogman, I believe he was gone after the self-titled album.
Yes Sam and the band parted ways (being kind here) after KX4. Dogman was produced By Brendan O'Brien who also did Pearl Jam and lots of other huge bands...
in answer to your query, i do think the band felt most confident with songs where Doug sang the lead and I also think Doug was most confident with this one. The verse for Prisoner wouldve worked great acoustic, but not so sure the chorus ... and it would have leaned more heavily on ty for lead vocals in those choruses....a much better song, i agree, but they likely wanted the best performance....Black Flag was never one of my faves, but it seems to have held up well....
Thanks for uploading this! I agree w/ "Black Flag" being one of the weaker tracks. "Prisoner" would have been a good one to go with, and a better single, IMO. But I also think they could have picked better songs than "King" and "Over My Head" for singles on the first 2 albums, so what do I know.
Damn...even acoustically Black Flag still had the impact to totally rearrange my brain..."have mercy Miss Percy".

Summerfest, that is a legendary show... especially with Ty cracking bad jokes and a monster performance as well.
I was at this performance. I loved how the band played. I recall the crowd not really knowing King's X and not quite getting them.
You found us a nice video of this song. Thanks a bunch :)
