That was a fun jam. Most people do their Hendrix jams with fuzz faces and univibes, was nice to hear the 90s tones creep in, chorus sounds that are more Janes Addiction or Primus than Hendrix... gives the music more character. It's great to learn how to sink your teeth into the Hendrix style (pun intended) but a lot of players forget to actually inject any of their own personality into it... which means they invested a lot of time and energy into missing the point. You seem to get it. Sounded good.
Hello my friend, I am so sorry that my response is an entire year late. Thank you again for the attention you gave to my humble channel. I hope that 2023 is a very good musical year for you. rock on and stay safe. peace.
Hello Hugh Le, thanks for the shout out. I was introduced to Joe Barden pickups during a visit to Munich Germany back in the 90's. the people at the Music Shoppe were going nuts over a Strat that had recently been loaded with the Bardens. When I heard the sound I knew that I had to get a set. It's been great. I hope that all of your music is strong and that you and your family are safe and healthy. Keep on pickin' and never stop! peace.
Hello Goldens98, thank you for visiting my channel. Thank you for the kind words. I hope that you and your family are safe and healthy. Rock steady in 2021 ! peace.
Great sounding guitar! I have an 84 Std with a rosewood fretboard and vintage JBE pups I installed mid 1990s. I’ve also installed an Alembic Blaster and Tusq string saddles. I also blocked the bridge. I have to be careful of output. What a great pickup!
Hello Ray. It is obvious that you are on top of the tone! Great moves my friend. We all have to keep on playing. That's what we do! In the meantime, much love and good MOJO to you and your family. always remember >>>>PLAY WITH PASSION! peace
Hello WolfAngelRock, Yes, Strats are cool. I love this axe. It's a little bit of a near vintage piece. I think it might have been a 1988 purchase. Geez, long time ago. ha. Well, please play often and be safe. The world needs MUSIC! peace.
Wow! It's the best of Strats - my is 92 too, but not so much strong. Sounds like Pink Floyd if not some better!👍🎸 Jake, that strat is AMAZING! Really rocking!!! 🎄🍻🎼 I will write you later, I was in the interesting situation, but it's a long story, I will write you when I will be a little more free! Z.
KILLER!!!! Love your style of playing....Back in late 80s when I was going to be the next SRV/ Malmstine/Page style guitar legend...I would drive over to Brooks and pick out all the axes I was going to wow the Rock-N-Roll universe with....REALITY IS A BITCH!!!🤣🤣🤣
hahaha Love that great attitude brother Stan. Yeah, I was going to be the next Bruce Lee...hahaha. Last thing I remember was my kung fu instructor standing over me and asking me what day it was. hahaha. After my head cleared all I wanted to do was to get a guitar. Many years later I made it over to Brook mays Music while I was on vacation. I got the best price ever for this Strat. Somehow I think they ordered way too many guitars the week I was in Dallas and they had to clear them out. Right place at the right time for me. hahaha. Well, be safe and play often. The world needs music my friend. Be sure to deliver your best sounds. peace.
@@jakesmith4506 no matter what kinda day I'm having, I make myself practice everyday. All my family and friends want me to upload to UA-cam. Im just my own worst critic. Take care sir. Happy New Year
Hello my friend. Thank you for taking time to check out my humble channel. The Bardens are great pickups from top to bottom. I should have launched an example of the clean sound. Well, clean or dirty they stand out above the crowded array of pickups. They are noiseless and the keep the vibe of the single coil mojo through any amp. The clean sound is full and robust without getting mushy. Rolling the volume back can take you into a nice relaxed clean tone with a touch of the 'swamp'. Does that make sense? hahaha. Well, it doesn't matter if you're in the Delta or in Siberia the Barden pickups are going to deliver exactly what you need to make your MOJO flow. I also put the Telecaster Bardens into one of my older Teles. Geez, it was like getting a new guitar. By all means, check out other videos from people using the Barden stuff. I'm pretty sure that each time you hear these things from different sources you will really enjoy what you hear. Rock steady and have a great musical 2023! peace.
Really nice. When you played your first lick it sounded like U2, but then the rythm track made it clear it was Machine Gun! What are you playing through? Nice tone!
Hi John, thanks for the kind words. I think I'm playing through an Egnater TWEAKER amp (40w). I also like Mesa Boogie amps too. When I have to keep the noise level down I'll use a Positive Grid modeling amp. There are so many options for sound these days. I think the main thing is to plug in and play! So, rock on and keep your music HOT!
Thank you for stopping by my humble channel. i hope that you and your family are safe and healthy. By all means, keep the music in your life and in your heart. Surfing....hahaha. I have to try it one day! much peace and joy to you and your family. happy new year!
Hello Curtis, Thanks for checking out my channel. Yeah, you're right about this thing not sounding like a Strat. geez, I've got a ton of effects running during the tune demo. So, it's pretty buried as far as a Strat sound. Oh well, Different stuff for everyone I suppose. The main thing for everyone is to pick up your axe and play. Lots of great sounds out there and I enjoy a lot of stuff from different players. So, I hope that you and your family are safe and healthy. Got to keep on playing! rock on my friend.
Sounds awesome! Dude can pick!!
Thank you for the shout out! Keep your musical mojo working my friend! peace.

Sounds nice, but it doesn't sound like a strat, at least not up to just past the mid point of the vid.. .
