Hello, Congratulations for this qso dx. Do you hear French stations sometimes on pmr bands? I sometimes call to England but without success for the moment. Maybe one day we will meet in frequency
I have not heard France on UHF yet but up on high ground near the coast and the same in France with good conditions it may be possible. What part of France are you in? If your near the coast and can get up on high ground its possible to hear stations unto the best part of 200 miles on 11m and could be worth having a try on a Sunday afternoon on CH34 UKFM. 14:00 UTC onwards. De Tom 73!
Hello, I am in the north west France city of CHERBOURG. I regularly contact England and Scotland on 27,555 USB when the propagation is good ,but my challenge would be to do it on pmr 446mhz ;-) .I give you my email address if you want to contact me: mike.cherbourg@gmx.fr
Hi Mike. Have a listen on a Monday night. There is a PMR net around the Brighton/Eastbourne area on the south coast of England. It starts about 20.00 hrs & finishes around 22.00 hrs UK time. It is on channel 8, no codes or tones needed. Net reports can be found on www.charlietango.co.uk Ray 26CT2290
