Ustad Raees Khan the ultimate maestro👍.
FYI - At 8:49 is the mention of true legend of Mansoor Hallaj who preferred to be hung at the gallows rather than be forced into subservience by the constrictions of the religious order of the day.
Puri wahada tul wajood aik hadees kursi pr latki hoi hy... "mn hath ban jata hon, mn paon ban jata hon"
Aur mazzy ki baat wo puri hadees orhty bhi nahn hain... Kyon puri hadees sufiism se moot hy..
Hindu bhi wahda tu wajood ko many hain.... Jo k Rasool Allah s.a.w ki taleem k khelaaf hy
I’m crying like a baby , Connects you to yourself and your Lord .. oh Allah 💔♥️
💘❤️🩹💝 🫶
It gets me each time at that fist BAHUUUUUUUUU. Much love from 🇭🇷
Thse 10mins felt like I was elevated to some othe wold and nothing else mattered and her voice and those brilliant lyrics left me in tears. She is without a doubt the greatest Female vocalist of all time. She is for female singers what Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was for male singers. The best of the best. Ever need to get into trance just listen to her, sh always touches ur soul and takes u to another world she is loved by Billons, she is also known as the Queen of Sufi Music. Fun fact Jada Pinkett Smith is a big fan of Abida even visited her concert in US few years back and haveshared her music couple of times.
Abida mam ..she is a blessing for South asian sufi genre 🙏
You’re such a gentle and a loving person! Thank you for exploring Pakistani music! 🙏🏼
You are one true guy i have seen in a while. Boldly Talking the inner YOU out. Really appreciate it man.
Keep it true.
Man, thank you so much for bringing this gem back to me. I didn't pay attention to this one back then. Thank you once again. I really like the way you are exploring songs that are not for the untrained ears and your usual audience and hence the real treasure of CokeStudio. Thanks again man.
You are super reviewer, super reaction guy. Reactions are my favorite favorite thing on youtube, and after watching dozens of reaction videos over the last many many years, i gotta say this, no one understood lyrics, feeling, and soul of words better than you. Bravo Jim
Possibly the most immersive performance and really gratifying to see you enjoy it as much. The sitar solos took it beyond next level. I'm envious as well! Ok, onto the next one!
Wonderful spiritual song. Wonderful lyrics. Glad you liked it
You say you're not religious but that's kinda the message of the song. It's a belief that you can't find enlightenment, or religion, or God, unless you let go of yourself and your worldly worries and devote yourself to the search of soul within. Great reaction as always ❤️
Greetings from Pakistan. Fantastic reaction to a spiritual gem. Your channel will soon be the favourite of all Pakistanis. You possess great ability to understand and appreciate the musical complexities.
Best of luck for your channel. Eagerly looking forward for the next one.
Regards
Wonderful understanding to the soul of the song and heard deeply. even you are believer or not, but its a real reaction, love you boss.
The word Ustad is like a title given to legends of Subcontinental classical music
It is like being knighted in the musical era
no no we are ok with this you can blast all of them 😜😜😂😂grat reaction love you man💕💕
Very few people reacted to this masterpiece...
Thanks man
This is pronounced as: "Man(without n) Suit (without t) Fee Hoo.
Her name is "Aabida" where "Aa" sound is longer and "bi" sound is just short. Parveen (Par is same as per).
Thank you, Jim. You are a true lover of music. Very few people can open their ears, their minds, and their hearts.
Hello, friend, I watch your reaction every time and realized that only you really feel the music and the rhythm of music.
And big greetings from Central Asia Tajikistan 🇹🇯
Thanks Jim for making me happy with your reactions. Every time I watch your reactions to Pakistani music, I relax and think of my dear homeland. It makes my day better. I'm with you on this deep dive bro. Hope you visit Pakistan and vlog your adventure. Keep it up please as you are helping me in my life.
Congratulations! Your journey has started Jim.
Jim i love your reactions . Total Genuine, Love it till end. I recommand to react to "Rung" Coke studio by Rahat Fateh & (Late) Amjad Sabri. Its on another level to listen. Bless you Brother.
What great song selection! One of the best from Coke Studio. React to Mundari by Ustaad Naseer Ud Din Saami. Another gem from the Coke Studio.
Absolutely! What a maestro especially the last couple of minutes of mundari is epic
Supper sufi song
Really wonderful journey ❤️
I don’t know what is in her voice that touches the soul every time you listen to her. I’ve been listening to her since my childhood.
Sitar is the most difficult eastern musical instrument to play. The sitar maestro Ustaad Raees Khan is on the next level in this song.
It's a whole other experience listening to it high (~don't judge me~)
Jim you found another gem of CS..wowww
By the way love your reactions always 💕
This is an absolute masterpiece. 💯
Magical
This honestly is my favourite one of hers
Her music is a journey ❤
But that’s exactly what Sufism is about which belongs to the religon of Islam
I hope you do study religon and find your inner peace ❤
Do check Hans Dhuni by Ustad Raees from coke studio
I used to luve in her neighbourhood
Love Love Abida ❤️ 😍
@jim - interesting to see your reaction. I presume this is new to you, but thought I’d share some background.
Sufism (is like a strain of Islam with a lot of Hindu influences… references like ‘Hari’ and ‘mandir’ come up a lot … and has a very liberal outlook if I may. They relate with god in ways very similar to what’s also found on the Hindu side of the house … a relationship with god like a pure true hearted lover even (no adultry :) .. sufi music, poetry and art are profoundly beautiful and mesmerizing.
And I agree with you, Abida Parveen has a gift. She sings straight to your soul.
Jim plz react coke studio season 10 song Naina moray
Wow 👌 ❤
12:34 “not religious” exactly what the song means. Loose it to find God.
Intricate music and 👌👌💯💯👍✌️🙏❤️
You're spiritual even without realizing it
If you like a song that takes you to a journey listen to coke studio season 9 Par Chana de
Please react to ATIF ASLAM Channa coke season 7...it's AMAZING!!
Also do React to laal meri patt , coke studio season 10
Doondon gy aghr mulkon mulkon song by abida parveen so beautiful song plz react this song
Masterclass……
check out, Coke Studio, Rang by Rahat and Amjad
This musics and musical instruments r originated in Indian subcontinent.
Just search other songs of abida parveen. she is the one and only authentic the best of all singers. The more you listen her the more u get the music. She is tge soul of music
If you are not religious, then this is a great advantage. The empty cup has the capacity to receive; the full cup is already full and has no room to receive. With this gig, you have to leave behind all that you know, even religion. It, too, is a stumbling block. ‘God’, too, has to go.
The last name try to understand what is with that name everything was for that one name which she says at the end Ali A.S. search this name
Delicious 😋
If you like Aabida Parveen, must check her rock sufi song Maula-e-Kull, one of my favorites. If you ever wish to be in religion or want to become Muslim, then you must take some prior knowledge about what Islam is truly, and what Allah says in Quran. Do not get confused with this sufi music poetry they will confuse you about this religion. The true meaning of Islamic religion is clearly mention in Quran (the last revealed book of Allah).
React on ustaad Raees khan solo sitar Hans Dhuni ..CSP ua-cam.com/video/M2-sponIRGM/v-deo.html
Just a piece of friendly advice.
This is a Sufie song.
Please do read up a little about Sufism/ Islamic Mysticism to truly appreciate Sufi songs.
Pakistani Sufi music/songs are so spiritual. Mesmerizing.
The only UA-camr who is exploring real Coke studio sessions. Hats off to you 😍
This is hands down one of my favourite Coke studio sessions. It's totally entrancing.
Two legends, one of them played Sitar and the other sang.
At least two generations have learnt from them and still learning.
Jab mai tha tab hari nahi.... ab hari hai... mai nahiiiii... I cried the first time I heard mai sufi hu... she is just very different... Her voice reaches directly to the heart... She connects the soul to another dimensions... yes.. whenever she says MAULAAAA...
Ustad Raees Khan ji is crazy for music.. passionate.. must listen to hans dhuni and must watch behind the scenes
Ustaad Raees Khan is the Sitaar player here.. Ustaad, a title that means Teacher/Master, only given to musicians/singers that have complete mastery over their skill.. you really have to earn it in Pakistan!
Anyhow.. this kalaam (spiritual poetry/song) is from the pov of a Sufi (spiritual wanderer/a person who looks inward to discover Khudi or 'self').. simply put.. once you start looking into your 'self'... there comes a point where you realize that we (as feeble humans) are nothing without our creator (God).. so eventually you, your 'self' and 'me' (basically terms used for ego) vanish and all that's left is He (God)
Mate wonderful genuine reaction love it! This particular Sufi song is by Bhulle Shah a Muslim Mystic Sufi poet ... and Aabida Parveen sang a lot of his poems
The "Sitar" is the gem of Hindustani Classical music and merged with Sufi music it is ethereal and mystical. The legend Abida Parveen jugalbandi with Ustaad playing sitar is absolutely stunning in this Sufi piece. Can't wait for you to react to "Agam" band from Kerala, India to show the fusion of Carnatic classical muci with contemporary musical instruments. Everything is absolutely stunning in music.
You’ve opened the Pandora’s box that is Coke Studio. Enjoy your journey…I know you will be elevated in the mastery of these maestros from Pakistan.
Also check Aqa by Abida Parveen and Ali Sathi.
In Pakistani songs, 30% share of the music and the remaining 70% are the lyrics, now you are trying to understand the lyrics, how you will get 100% understanding of our music or songs.
Always emotional for us to listen to abida parveen :)
I learn lot from ur reaction videos. thanks
Ultra legend Abida Parveen
She's 67 years old.
Hi Jim, you recently said that you couldn't find songs before season 7. Coke studio started their channel from season 7. For earlier songs look for Rohail Hayyat. He was the producer and earlier seasons are associated with him
Always love your break downs and honest reactions Jim. Keep it up. Much love from Pakistan.
Love from pakistan 🇵🇰
Lol I can't believe you're not starting with Season 1 of coke studio.
I am I just did the last few video’s before I knew where to find season one.
Islam is religion which explains unified reality of universe and Sufism is the part of Islam which explains an individuals real time relationship with this collectively unified reality which exists within heart and soul beyond all those conflicts and contradictions of human understanding.
This Poetry is beyond the capacity of translation into any other language as it uses Sufi terms more than words of a language.
peace!
KANGANA !!!!!!
Whenever you see the word Ustaad/Ustad just understated that they will be amazing at the art, it literally means Maestro
Go for CHAAP TILAK bro. Another masterpiece
pleas react on Allah o akbar coke studio ..
Coke studio is a rabbit hole , once you get in there is no coming back 🤪 since I am following you I must say you are getting it , keep up 👍🏻❤️🤘🏻
Loved the reaction.
Abida Parveen and Ustad Raees Khan are both masters of their field. The word USTAD means maestoro. He passed away a few years ago, he was amazing sitar player, a true legend he was. I would love to have your reaction on one of my favorite songs GAL SUN. You will love it and I will enjoy getting your reaction on that song.
No one can play sittar better then ustaad Raees Sahab
He is the only one
Registering my attendance 😊
I love when Raees says at the end “ way to go sis! “
I met Abida Parveen in Islamabad in 2019
Loved the reaction ❤️ Sufism ❤️
That place is not earth its heaven she talking about the place where ALLAH & prophet MUHAMMAD SAW meet.
Its called Meeraj ❤🎉
That was a sittar
Ustaad raees khan is great sitar master and grate combination with Madam Abida Parveen she is a wonderful classical singer specially in Sufi Music. Belonging from Sindh province.

Sultan Shaikh. Karachi Pakistan
I’ve heard this song so many times, but when you said “the place was in her” it blew my mind lol. Never hit me. So many unbelievable coke studio songs with Abida Parveen, in case you’re interested in reacting to more
If you want to learn about religion don't go for moulvis version but the Sufi's/mystics version of religion. The message in Sufi Islam is universal, that's it's beauti.
The piano clashes with the sitar, horrible and needless. I would preferred Ustad Rais Khan solo.
A peach of a song. Intoxicating, liberating and above all makes you connect to higher being.
Jim try to focus on songs based on Sufi music. They are special to this region.
Please react on "Hans Dhuni" by Ustad Raees Khan (late) from CS 7
He born in india 🇮🇳 but permanently moved to Pakistan..
The like button is not enough.... beyond this world...
