Liquid 3: the first algae air purifier in Serbia

- The first urban photo-bioreactor in Serbia, "LIQUID 3", has been placed in front of the Municipality of Stari Grad in Makedonska Street in Belgrade. This "liquid tree", as it is called at the “Institute for Multidisciplinary Research” of the University of Belgrade, where it was designed, is a completely new biotechnological solution for air purification and reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in urban areas where its concentrations are highest.

This is going to get a revolution in the world. I am really excited and relieved that scientists are actually working towards climate change. I believe implementing LIQUID 3 in the most busiest and polluted cities can get back hope for humanity.
These need to be on every street corner in every urban zone in cities around the world!
They should all be designed by local artist!

This is good actually. Although it still won't replace trees this can go hand in hand with more tree centered urban planning. Fresher air, less drowsiness.

Inace ima i kinez koji je osmislio isto klupu jos pre 5 god samo sto je unutra paprat koja proizvodi kiseonik kao 250 drveta. Mozda da stavite u neku klupu i tu paprat umesto alge. Gde je gradonacelnik da vidi ovo. Treba nam to po celom Beogradu

Ok but HOW?! How does the polluted air GET into the tank and how does the clean air get OUT?!?
During photosynthesis, algae focus on using the sun’s energy to convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose, releasing oxygen in the process
I think it should come to India and its going to make big impact in the polluted cities.
Indian government should consider this project.

Hello UNDP am working on similar in sierra leone which have been developed called liquid air Box it designed to be hanged on building and polls and also we have design for large vehicles to help purify the air when moving it also have sensors and monitoring device in which we can monitor the device from our office and know when it needs any care or dew for byproduct harvesting.

I would like to know if we put a solar panel in front of it at night, would it produce electricity? Then we don't need a non-stop battery at night, just a 2-layer glass sheet filled with algae or bioluminous material, right?
