Great video. I just bought a used 2023 Ford Edge and although I thought I had everything figured out, I was glad to hear about the traffic lights. We should never assume, but I would the person wondering why the vehicle didn't stop at a red light. Thanks so much!

My 2021 Edge only has standard cruise control so I plan to get the steering wheel switch and radar to upgrade to ACC.
what does it mean when the steering wheel lights up orange? GREAT system for long trips.
When the steering wheel lights up orange it means the car’s camera can’t read the lane lines so the lane centering is disabled
System cuts off, you have to stop the edge and restart the vehicle. The adaptive cruise once it cuts off errors and lights on, but you can't restart cruise. Is it a vehicle issue or a sensor issue? Dealer said it didn't show up on system monitor.
Not sure where the issue is coming from but it’s a malfunction of some sort
I recently purchased this vehicle. While using cruise control, it sometimes stops and shows a message about crash sensor not working. I’ve tried looking in the manual but haven’t found any trouble shooting for this problem. Would you happen to know what I can do to resolve this problem?
What are describing sounds like a malfunction with the car's safety systems, and unfortunately I don't know a quick fix for that symptom. I would advise you to take the car to a Ford dealer or qualified Ford mechanic to have the problem properly diagnosed. Good luck!
I just read on some forum that one of the cause of that malfunction is the sensor which is positioned behind the front numper. The mounting bracket becomes loose resulting in the sensor vibrating.
Im a new driver so its a bit of a funny question. Do all Fords have this??I have 23 Focus Active X but cant figure it out. It has Set button on the wheel but no distance or lane assist buttons.
All Fords do not have this feature. If you don't have the distance or lane assist buttons then you just have standard cruise control. This mean that your Ford cannot "see" the car in front of it. If you set the cruise control in your car to 60 MPH, you're going to go 60 MPH until you hit the brakes, hit cancel, or hit another car. The system in your car is best used on highway drives with very light traffic, but pay attention and be ready to hit the brakes if need be.
Does it have regular cruise control and not adaptive?
I don't see a way to toggle between the two in the owners manual
So will it turn with lane centering on? Or do you still have to turn it?
It will follow the lane lines if you have the lane centering on and provide assistance for the steering, but you need to keep your hands on the wheel and pay attention
@@CarDietrich do u have a video on the newer co pilot? Or info on how it compares? Im thinking of upgrading my 2010 focus to 2016-2021 EDGE SEL. Suppose I should just go test drive but still in data gathering phase 😂
