I’m seeing this and knowing this was not what I skid, I’m starting to believe I got to zuma’s cornice somehow, and the ikon pass tracking agrees with me
Hi Starpower, Congrats on being a Zuma Cornice Skier. More terrain than I can handle on that part of Zuma! Make some turns up there for me. Thanks for your observations on Loafer. The IKON app confusion in terrain is probably the proximity of Loafer to Cornice. The two trails parallel each other as can be seen in the first four minutes of the vid. Off to the left you will see ridge line snow fencing and roped pole lines. On the north side of the "barrier" is Loafer and on the south is Cornice. I can see why the IKON tracker is reporting your runs that way. There are several areas along loafer where it is easy to transfer over to Cornice. And I recall a lot of skiers coming in from the left during the run from other places where the barrier is 20 or 30 meters above Loafer. At the four minute mark you can see the vid make a left turn into the tree line. This is where Cornice and Loafer diverge. You can also see from A-Basin's website where the runs are by comparing the Zuma and Beavers trail maps. Hope that makes sense. The top of Loafer and Cornice are on top of each other. They split off from each other as you drop down to tree line. Thanks for visiting and watching the video. A-Basin has done a good job this year so it should be interesting to see how much the new owners try to change Al's vision. Cheers. Rich. Take care and be SAFE out there!
Thanks for the video. That "boot cam" made me seasick! Hard to tell from the video, but would you say that the second part of Loafer is equivalent to Mozart at Keystone?
Greetings Phlack, Thanks for the visit and the comments. Sorry about the boot cam disorientation - LOL - . I haven't visited Keystone for decades so I can't comment on the similarity to Mozart. I will have to look up some videos. The snow on the hills this week is getting the juices flowing! Time to get out the skis and do some tune up work. Have a great fall and see you on the slopes next month! Cheers, Rich. Be SAFE!
I so badly want to get a quiet pow day in the beavers bc it would be the best experience you will have there!!
The way the season is going with snow I am sure you will have several more chances for that. Make sure you got your camera rolling!. Cheers, Rich
This is it!
Glad you like it. To be honest the conditions kinda wore me out. But it was still great fun.

mozart is less steep than loafer and is also a shorter run. Loafer I would say is more challenging than mozart is
@@yaboi_woahh Thanks for the input. I better practice on Mozart for a while, then. Haven't wiped out yet, but it always makes me nervous!
