When lacrosse balls get dirty they get more slippery/greasy and are less accurate
but why in the middle of the game

But still it makes the game more challenging
I play lacrosse, and no matter how dirty the balls get they are never cleaned mid game... if they are relatively new balls they don’t need to be cleaned. Also, cleaning old balls wouldn’t do anything because they get slippery from the rubber hardening over a long period of time in the elements.

I’ve been a nationally ranked competitive rock climber my whole life and your story made me smile :) almost never here about climbing anywhere so it was a nice change for once.

The reason you have to clean lacrosse balls is because of something known as “greasy balls” it’s when a ball gets dirty and harder to throw and pick up

3:17 If the lacrosse balls get to greasy (which we call greasers), they loose their rubber texture which help the ball have a better hold in your mesh pocket and also helps with throwing the ball more accurately

i’m honestly loving the subtle threats to announce streams, i can’t even view the streams on most occasions it just brings me joy to see the announcement.
I went on one of those rock climbing walls once with the automatic safety baleyerificator thingys and I was so scared I climbed all the way back down, there was an employee nearby giving me the most disappointed look
I was falling asleep and then the “balaying” scream happened and gave me heart palpitations
Hopefully he finds another way to word “paying to play with children” in the future haha

Hi so I worked as a Special Needs teacher's assistant and as a Child Care Monitor/ Aftercare Counselor and the gist of what you were explaining at the YMCA with parents dropping off their children for the activity was that you as the Coordinator of the activity is not only leading and supervision the children in the activity but teaching them at the same time in how to participate in group events, think of what you did as the land version of swim the small kids are learning hand-eye coordination from an organized activity with an Adult leader. Now the way you describe it was that this YMAC just through you into the deep end with out too much explanation and so that why it confusing.
The point of watching your child play is to see them improve and watch them grow and by doing so there kids are learning more than what they would have been able to teach them.

About the cleaning lacrosse balls thing
When you play with the same ball for a while it gets really dirty and is known in the lacrosse community as a greaser, they become really slippery and hard to pass and shoot etc. That's why you had to clean them mid game. Thank you for joining my Ted talk

This reminds me of my Library job where I worked a summer reading program. If kids read a certain amount of books within a month they got a prize. I zoned out during the whole explanation and just gave kids toys all summer. I loved it

I had a guy as my "belayer" and he was on his phone while I was doing a rope course. I immediately started crying when I saw him not paying attention and wouldn't move.. over 10 years later I'm still traumatized.
How high up we’re you? To immediately start crying and being frozen with fear I’d imagine pretty high up right?
@@jrlopez1027. I want to say like 30 feet or more. It was pretty big including a bungy spot or zip line to get down which I was forced to do because they said I couldn't just climb since that was more dangerous.. I chose zip line since I didn't have the feeling of falling straight down.
I personally always started shaking with fear every time i needed to let go of the wall and the guy at the bottom would just stare up at me like -__-

im a lacrosse player and i have no idea why they would wash the balls. lol

I don't play lacrosse but my sibling does but I didn't know tell I looked it up and it's because the balls get slick and loose there grip and control so the wash them to slow the process to make the balls last longer according to Google
I play goalie and have practiced on turf but play on dirt sometimes and we never washed the balls. Maybe girls lacrosse is different but if the ball was dirty, the only thing that happened was I got dirty when the ball smashed into me at 65 mph

New vid idea, top ten coolest things you've done in your life
Former education major. Work a lot with kids but hated the major so switched. Parents mostly don't feel like going home and coming back, and they just assume you know what you are doing, and they also put their kids in activities so they can be with other kids.and get those social skills. Especially if they are an only child.
