they were so underscored the entire competition. their choreography was incredibly difficult and ALWAYS CLEAN. each stage was extremely well rehearsed and thought out. I feel sad that fan voting had such an impact and seeing the other groups not voting for their performances. they were absolutely incredible! it was obvious to see that other groups were intimidated by them. they may not have a large fan base, but they’re EXTREMELY hard working, talented and humble!
fr. kingdom was just a popularity contest ever since mnet added the global voting. when i heard skz was gonna be in kingdom, i knew they were gonna win becuz of the global voting. they had #1 constantly, even if they got #6 or #5 on the expert evaluations. it was very biased. if global voting was NOT there, the boyz or ateez would've won easy peasy.

The Boyz werent able to get any benefit point from sport day or collaboration stages too but they got 2nd place which is so surprising. This boyz always like to experiment their performance with the new thing and they definitely doing great. Also this stage not ENTIRELY VCR, they just mixing with their live stage to make it more Creative and interesting. Maybe you should watch all the performance from RTK & KINGDOM. This is survival show and they can do everything with their idea, it just the boyz have a big brain and brave to challenge a new things. Why do you all want to blame them. People really complained that tbz used in between vcr but the fact is that only TBZ can pull off such performance. Its not easy to match timing and give off such perfect performance. This seemed easy because tbz made it looks like easy.
Even though THE BOYZ didn’t get first place, I firmly believe that out of all the groups who joined Kingdom (including Road to Kingdom) TBZ has benefited the most from this show. You all know how some Kpop songs are tagged as sounding “too western” therefore don’t fit Koreans’ taste in music? Well the thing about THE BOYZ, their music appeals to the general public (Koreans)-and this is the reason why their Korean fanbase has gotten so big in a short span of time. They needed domestic exposure, they got it through these two shows. Also, through Kingdom, they were able to get the global exposure that they needed. Kingdom was dominated by groups who are more popular outside of Korea. And the thing about global fans, their music taste is rather diverse. Therefore, some of them might dig TBZ’s music and some would not, but still in the end, the group was able to gain a number of international fans. Finally, THE BOYZ getting the highest digital points with a song that isn’t an official comeback is already a win for me when before Checkmate, their songs hardly chart. So the fact that ‘Kingdom Come’ is dominating charts feels like as if they won already. :) Edit: Topping charts, the highest charting 4th gen bg on Gaon Digital Sales (peak at no. 11) of all time, highest peak by a 4th gen bg on Melon Top100 (peak at no. 17), first ever 4th gen bg to win on Music Core, and many many more achievements for their latest album Thrill-ing!!! The Boyz have come so far!!! I’m so proud of them!!!!!
Yeah, literally none of their songs charted on melon before checkmate (except their debut, which charted briefly at #95). So in less than a year, they went from that to their comeback song charting at #5, a single-use competition song with no promotions charting at #24, and random b-sides and OSTs regularly charting. their ascent in Korea is dizzying
Ever since Kingdom ended I couldn’t bring myself to rewatch any of their performances without feeling kinda empty for knowing all they went through. Not gonna lie I still feel bitter lol. They showed every possible color, stage, performance, showed the most versatility and astonishing concepts. It wasn’t just the same performance with a different song, it was something unique every single effing time. This show was bs ever since it started, especially with the popularity votes. I’m just so happy all of this is over and that we are getting another comeback :D I’m not ready for maverick.

yea... this show also made me sorta bitter to the fandoms (which I still kinda am), I was and still am a fan of the other groups and now I try to not interact with anyone within the fandoms. Im happy about the hardwork and passion each group put but I just felt it all boiled down to fan votes. The fandoms also felt really rude during this point of the show, which I felt bad for other fandoms who had nothing to do with the show, dealing with the kingdom fandoms. I frequent vlive and other sns platforms and on the vlive boards, and just everywhere there was a fandom spamming to stream their performances. That to me felt really low, unnecessarily low, and unnecessarily toxic. There was also the whole Kevin controversy, Im unsure but I'm pretty sure it was proven to be fake and only mentioned to draw negative attention to the group. After that controversy Kevin looked so sad, and people would go onto vlive and other sns platforms to say how bad the Boyz are because of Kevin (which idek why I have to say thats just rude). Overall im not going to poke fingers even though I kinda am, Im still bitter, but the show also felt really biased as a whole but I digress and I'll continue to support every group in the show

I’m not even a fan of The Boyz however, I recently watched the entire Kingdom program and was in shock by the scoring they received. I truly felt they were ROBBED. I’m not saying the other groups weren’t talented or that they didn’t deserve good scores, it’s just that The Boyz were consistently getting crazy low scoring and their performances were damn near flawless especially for such a large team. It just seem really unbalanced. I am just glad that they didn’t lose their confidence in the end and have continued working so well together. I heard they may be at KCON LA. I am really considering flying out to see them live and support them because I just respect them as great artists.
They were indeed robbed. Have you seen their Road to Kingdom program? You would then realise why the need to keep their scores consistently low in Kingdom. The Boyz won't be attending kcon in LA but they would be having a concert on 29/5 instead which is even better😄 You can consider flying to LA to meet them
The boyz storyline in kingdom is literally an avantgarde performance. Their storyline continues that it gives me goosebumps on how can they think and create a performance that would fit from the story they created. Cre.Ker and The Boyz is literally amazing!!!

His dance was so clean and sharp. Same goes as his voice, angelic voice. Also he start to rap and it sounds so cool in b-side track of Breaking Dawn (first japanese album) titled Kiss Me If You can

I don't care that they didn't won this time. We have evidence that they are our kings. I feel like they came here after Road to kingdom bc they asked them to come and they were ready to became even more perfect(if that's even possible) and show off their skills,not to win. And in Monster stage they were all perfecty in sinch while dancing I couldn't stop starring how much that amazed me,it's like when people talk about Seventeen's synchronized dancing and now you clearly see an example of such stage of another artist. 로드 투 킹덤에서 킹덤까지 대면식에서 최종파이널까지 놓칠 장면 하나도 없이 한단어와 한 문장으로 형용할 수 없을 정도이다 보면서 감탄 밖에 안 나왔다 그렇다고 다른 아티스트가 못 했다는 것이 아니다 다른 아티스트들의 무대를 보면서 감탄도 했지만 더보이즈의 무대는 뭔가 다른점이 있는 것 같다는 얘기이다 내 전공이 아님에도 불구하고 한 순간에 매료되어 무대를 다 보게끔 만드는 보지 않은 적은 있어도 한 번만 보고 끝나는 것이 아닌 보고 또 보고 다시 보고 한 장면 한 장면 곱씹어 보게되는 그런 무대라서 생각 날 때마다 보러 오게 되는 것 같다 이번에도 퀸덤2를 보면서 정말 한 무대 한 무대 너무 대단하고 너무 좋았지만 매 회차가 끝날 떄마다 더보이즈 무대가 생각나서 오늘도 또 보게 되었다 앞으로 더 빛나서 더 좋은 무대를 보여주면 참 감사할 것 같다 이상 감상평 끄읕

Plus the way they incorporated everything in this performance-paying tribute to all of their stages from RTK to Kingdom, the elements present in their KD stages (ice, water, air, fire, sun, moon), and the GOT reference. It was the perfect ending to the whole narrative they made throughout the show.
ikr, and the fact that this is also the start of the storyline. juyeon said that their performances were put in chronological order since mama2020, but in reverse. i really enjoyed how they incorporated their concept continuously without overdoing it.
I don’t care if they doesnt got the 1st place, cause their fandom is not big as the other contestant. But for me, TBZ got 1st for the concept in every performance. They harmonization sounds great too And don’t forget, They always got the high score from expert judges
Yeaah I did notice The Boyz concept and performance throughout Kingdom is actually very very very good. I'm amazed with their stage presence and story plot, I love their Games of Throne reff, red wedding is so good, plus dance wise they're A+ sync. Strong vocal too!! Lots of high notes but super stable delivery. They definitely made a big impression on me!!!
Agree. I really love your comment. We cannot expect anything from this popularity contest. But the boyz, with their appearance, synchronisation, concept, stable vocal, facial expressions, and visual (it's a plus point XD), they will always be the king in our heart

But Whats important so that we know they did the best they absolutely could and they excelled amazingly. We’ll always support them.
I love how they always minimize props as they used to so they can move anywhere, every side of the stage. They're so creative (they're from Creative Kernel anyways). They always do something unexpected. They even use VCR. I don't know why ppl mad with that. I mean, this is final stage. The score comes from song streaming a week before and live vote from fans. So basically no rules for this stage, since there's no judges score or perform video stream. They can do whatever they want. Just admit they're beyond your expectation.
Highlights: - The intro - Sangyeon’s highnote (i love this) & other members voice in this song is super good - The contra between ice and fire - Their VISUAL + OUTFIT - The synchronization - The Boyz itself After all bitter sweet moments, The Boyz and team are free now! They did their best. I cant describe my feeling. Im speechless. Congrats THE BOYZ for being second place but still YOU are my NUMBER 1 💕
I’m just so so happy that I see people saying they placed second because I was honestly scared they would place in 4th or 3rd seeing how they 6th and 4th 2/3 of their previous performances and the fact that they didn’t win any of the round for the No Limit subunit. I’m so relieved that they’re actually second so I hope they don’t beat themselves up about it and take a long break

I'm not a deobi but honestly no other groups performance choreography has impressed me as much as The Boyz. It's so unique and creative and the synchronisation is bEYOND flawless, it's the only group that makes me rewind parts 3-4 times just to appreciate how freaking cool and clean it is 👌

I think what made other people pressed with the use of VCR is that it wasn't only used as an intro. Which is commonly seen on concerts, year end stages and some groups have done it on RTK and Queendom too. But to completely integrate usage of VCR to your actual performance is something I think had never been done before. Correct me if I am wrong tho. But this is the first time I have seen a kpop group switched from live to VCR to live to VCR to live again. Lmao TBZ made them mad again because they always think ahead of everyone. This is really a brilliant staging for an online audience. It gives you a different experience. Completely amazed by how TBZ has been maximizing the no audience to their advantage from RTK upto KD to make full use of the stage and LED, incorporate stunts, usage of VCR & POV and create grand scale performances that leaves you speechless. Those people always has something to comment abt TBZ. But I am just glad that they always do what they want and show us spectacular performances. Who cares if you are pressed. This performance is for the enjoyment of The Bs and to non The Bs who will later on find them amazing and will be completely blown away too. So yeah stay pressed.
The reaction from the other group tho skshsk they are so quiet despite the good performance, that may show that they feel unfair because maybe they aren't told they can use pre recorded clip🤷♀️

I'm an Atiny and I only just watched this video, barely knowing The BOYZ, but oh my GOD- this was such a good performance! I'm sorry to hear that they really didn't score very well overall but it just goes to show how much bias there is on shows like these because this was virtually flawless and really well-done. I hope to see more of them in the future

The BOYZ should have won. I'm an Atiny, and back in 2021 I cheered for ATEEZ naturally, but after watching road to kingdom and re-watching all these performances, I say - The Boyz are the real winners. periodt.

Even though THE BOYZ didn’t get first place, I firmly believe that out of all the groups who joined Kingdom (including Road to Kingdom) TBZ has benefited the most from this show. You all know how some Kpop songs are tagged as sounding “too western” therefore don’t fit Koreans’ taste in music? Well the thing about THE BOYZ, their music appeals to the general public (Koreans)-and this is the reason why their Korean fanbase has gotten so big in a short span of time. They needed domestic exposure, they got it through these two shows. Also, through Kingdom, they were able to get the global exposure that they needed. Kingdom was dominated by groups who are more popular outside of Korea. And the thing about global fans, their music taste is rather diverse. Therefore, some of them might dig TBZ’s music and some would not, but still in the end, the group was able to gain a number of international fans. Finally, THE BOYZ getting the highest digital points with a song that isn’t an official comeback is already a win for me when before Checkmate, their songs hardly chart. So the fact that ‘Kingdom Come’ is dominating charts feels like as if they won already. :)

Ever since Kingdom ended I couldn’t bring myself to rewatch any of their performances without feeling kinda empty for knowing all they went through. Not gonna lie I still feel bitter lol. They showed every possible color, stage, performance, showed the most versatility and astonishing concepts. It wasn’t just the same performance with a different song, it was something unique every single effing time. This show was bs ever since it started, especially with the popularity votes. I’m just so happy all of this is over and that we are getting another comeback :D I’m not ready for maverick.

yea... this show also made me sorta bitter to the fandoms (which I still kinda am), I was and still am a fan of the other groups and now I try to not interact with anyone within the fandoms. Im happy about the hardwork and passion each group put but I just felt it all boiled down to fan votes. The fandoms also felt really rude during this point of the show, which I felt bad for other fandoms who had nothing to do with the show, dealing with the kingdom fandoms. I frequent vlive and other sns platforms and on the vlive boards, and just everywhere there was a fandom spamming to stream their performances. That to me felt really low, unnecessarily low, and unnecessarily toxic. There was also the whole Kevin controversy, Im unsure but I'm pretty sure it was proven to be fake and only mentioned to draw negative attention to the group. After that controversy Kevin looked so sad, and people would go onto vlive and other sns platforms to say how bad the Boyz are because of Kevin (which idek why I have to say thats just rude). Overall im not going to poke fingers even though I kinda am, Im still bitter, but the show also felt really biased as a whole but I digress and I'll continue to support every group in the show

I’m not even a fan of The Boyz however, I recently watched the entire Kingdom program and was in shock by the scoring they received. I truly felt they were ROBBED. I’m not saying the other groups weren’t talented or that they didn’t deserve good scores, it’s just that The Boyz were consistently getting crazy low scoring and their performances were damn near flawless especially for such a large team. It just seem really unbalanced. I am just glad that they didn’t lose their confidence in the end and have continued working so well together. I heard they may be at KCON LA. I am really considering flying out to see them live and support them because I just respect them as great artists.

Plus the way they incorporated everything in this performance-paying tribute to all of their stages from RTK to Kingdom, the elements present in their KD stages (ice, water, air, fire, sun, moon), and the GOT reference. It was the perfect ending to the whole narrative they made throughout the show.
ikr, and the fact that this is also the start of the storyline. juyeon said that their performances were put in chronological order since mama2020, but in reverse. i really enjoyed how they incorporated their concept continuously without overdoing it.

Yeaah I did notice The Boyz concept and performance throughout Kingdom is actually very very very good. I'm amazed with their stage presence and story plot, I love their Games of Throne reff, red wedding is so good, plus dance wise they're A+ sync. Strong vocal too!! I'm not a deobi but honestly no other groups performance choreography has impressed me as much as The Boyz. It's so unique and creative and the synchronisation is bEYOND flawless, it's the only group that makes me rewind parts 3-4 times just to appreciate how freaking cool and clean it is 👌

I think what made other people pressed with the use of VCR is that it wasn't only used as an intro. Which is commonly seen on concerts, year end stages and some groups have done it on RTK and Queendom too. But to completely integrate usage of VCR to your actual performance is something I think had never been done before. Correct me if I am wrong tho. But this is the first time I have seen a kpop group switched from live to VCR to live to VCR to live again. Lmao TBZ made them mad again because they always think ahead of everyone.
This is really a brilliant staging for an online audience. It gives you a different experience. Completely amazed by how TBZ has been maximizing the no audience to their advantage from RTK upto KD to make full use of the stage and LED, incorporate stunts, usage of VCR & POV and create grand scale performances that leaves you speechless. Those people always has something to comment abt TBZ. But I am just glad that they always do what they want and show us spectacular performances. Who cares if you are pressed. This performance is for the enjoyment of The Bs and to non The Bs who will later on find them amazing and will be completely blown away too. So yeah stay pressed.

@@dinaatikah707 i dont think the other groups felt unfair...their reactions were underwhelming bcos they didn't understand the performance..they cant see the vcr parts like we did..if u watch the Full Cam of Kingdom Come, u will understand..TBZ and the cameramen were rushing here and there😂..so other groups might be confused on what was tbz performing..

I'm an Atiny and I only just watched this video, barely knowing The BOYZ, but oh my GOD- this was such a good performance! I'm sorry to hear that they really didn't score very well overall but it just goes to show how much bias there is on shows like these because this was virtually flawless and really well-done. I hope to see more of them in the future

I'm an Atiny, and back in 2021 I cheered for ATEEZ naturally, but after watching road to kingdom and re-watching all these performances, I say - The Boyz are the real winners. periodt.
