I feel her. She's gone through so much. What's wrong is that even her parents chooses sides when they could be neutral. There's favoritism in the family and she did what she could to get out of that toxic place to save herself, and thats how she managed to develop a strong personality that til this day has long been misinterpreted. imagine a child growing up alienated of love and care. She'd turn cold, thats why even when their dad was at the hospital she didnt wanna go because of their deteriorated relationship and at the wake of their father, she still paid her respects despite what they did to her. All she wants to do is to avoid clashing with her fam. Its all against one. stay strong Grech.

I started having a high respect for Gretchen when I saw videos of how she stood for what was right during the Manila Film Festival scandal. And as I watched this, I respected her even more. Such a strong and kind woman.

I can relate to Gretchen, it is so hard when you grew up with unsupportive parents mentally and emotionally, i cried and understand why she have to be strong on her own but other people judge her without knowing what's inside her heart.
She grew up as a strong woman. She's so forward on saying something, we can feel how she's hurting. It's so sad.
Ngayon ko lang napanood ito pero sobrang relate ako sa pinagdaanan ni Gretchen. Lumaki din ako sa takot sa magulang ko lalo na sa Tatay ko. Di ko naramdaman talaga yung love sa family. Parehas pala kami ng naranasan na gustong lumayo at makatakas sa nangyayari sa pamilya. Mahirap lumaki na mas nananaig ang takot kaysa pagmamahal sa loob ng pamilya. Yung may masakit kang nararamdaman pero di mo masabi sa kanila.😷😷😷

The vital role of parents is to mold our children ,teach them how to be a good individual. It all started at home.
Remember parents we are the rule model to our children. This barreto's case it really reflects to how their parents nurtures them.

I don't blame Gretchen. She grew up in a dysfunctional family where it's okay to swear and cuss. It's not okay. Profanities are not okay. There is no doubt that she was traumatized while growing up, and she wanted out. I won't be surprised if she has PTSD. I feel you Miss Gretchen. I've been there, done that, wore the shirt; so to speak. Until now I am still going through it even if I was able to get out. The horror of my past still haunts me. The nightmares won't stop. O am still having one on one sessions with my therapist. But she is a brave girl. She was able to get out because it's the right thing to do. Doesn't matter if it's her against her family. You did the right thing, Miss Gretchen.

You know I can fully relate to you, I'm also trying to escape, I don't like being home with my family cause I wanna feel like a human being, I became so emotionally strong growing up because I endured so much pain and psychological disturbances, I was also physically abused at very young age, they're hitting me so bad that I bleed,thats how I built my self to be stronger and work hard to build my wings until I can freely fly and create my own world.
