Sweden on foot: A forest glade in Möllegård Nature Reserve, Halmstad

Möllegård Nature Reserve on the outskirts of Halmstad with its mix of forest and rural landscapes is a popular destination with locals and tourists alike, much thanks to the old farm house turned ice cream cafe by its main entrance. Step off the hiking trail and into the forest proper, however, and you're likely to find yourself more or less alone with the trees and the remains of stone fences from an age bygone. Turns out there are delicious things to find among the grass, too: blueberries (of the wild European variety, not the weird American ones that are white inside) as well as chanterelle mushrooms.
