Another great episode! Seriously one of the best produced fly fishing channels out there, I have been able to convert 2 buddies to the ways of the fly rod after showing them your smallie videos! Thank you for taking your time to put out amazing fishing videos and not wasting your talent filming for the local news station or something! Tight lines!
We absolutely are. It’s a shame so many people are intent on not keeping it that way... too little respect for nature, the environment and all these beautiful freshwater streams.
Scotty, can’t tell you how much you’ve influenced my fly fishing through all your videos (local to the Davidson). Up front, I know nothing about filming anything, but some of us duck hunters love to see the ducks up close after the kill. Think of it like when you pull a 20” wild brown out of the water in October and it’s all colored up. Love what you’re doing man!
Welcome to freezing your hands off fishing! Our lives when I grew up in CT / New England trout fishing the Farmington River and her tributaries ... Winter sucks and you have to go fishing.. Keep it up! ~ tight lines ~
Great video! A trick I learned for cold weather fishing is to wear thin neoprene gloves under your winter or fingerless gloves and pack a small microfiber pack towel. The neoprene gloves keep your hands dry and the microfiber you use to wrap your fingerless gloves and squeeze to get the water out. The neoprene gloves will make your on-water experience so much better as your hands stay a lot warmer.
Interesting indeed. Have fly fished for sea run brown here I St. John's NL Canada in January at 20F with great success. Small rivers tucked down between the hills. Every second or third cast we'd blow the ice out of the eyes and go back at it. These fish were sea run browns and delicious. Still available today within the capital city limits. Just pure fun. Keep a few to eat and release the rest.
Rewatching these videos and can’t believe how few views some of these have for the quality. This is making me really want to go to Montana more than ever. Next year I’m definitely heading to Montana hunting and I definitely want to do some fly fishing as well while I’m there
Love your guys videos! Been getting into fly fishing more the past year. Y’all inspired me to start tying some flies and get out there and have some fun with my buddies! Keep the videos coming... they’re a nice refresher to watch during the grind of the week!
Fishing’ in the cold can be tough - even brutal! Inspired me to go out tomorrow! Loved the duck hunting twist and your retrievers were excellent! Memorable trip for sure.
Great video , I live in Ennis and it was fun seeing you hit a lot of the spots we fish with the Sphinx mountain in the background . Unfortunately it was some bad timing for you guys nothing worse the being on the Madison when it’s below freezing and windy makes for a long day . Has not snowed since .October and November we had great fishing no people, just us . Oh and by the way that pink spinning outfit is still at the Shedhorn. Happy Trails
Love these freakin videos!! I started watching these videos a lil over a month ago and went out and bought a fly rod and started fly fishing! About to move to North Carolina from Nashville TN and super stoked to go catch some trout!! Thanks wildflyproductions for the inspiration in fly fishing!!
Have you guys ever fished at the 3 dollar bridge in Montana... It's a super great spot to fish. I fished there this summer when I was in Montana for a fly fishing trip and it was a lot of fun! I waded it and worked my way down stream, would really recommend it.
Hey fellas, I’ve never gone fly fishin and never fished a river. But yalls videos had me bring my pops old fly rod from Texas out to Hawaii where I’m stationed, just to learn how to cast, not many fish out here are too fond of flies. Question though, how come y’all always catch and release? I do more shore fishin than anything and always watch yalls videos while tying my leaders for the weekend. Yalls videos are awesome and watchin them and sittin back drinkin beers are my go to pre-camp/fish motivation to get through my weekends on the beach. Hang tough gents and keep it up.
Awesome show guys, got a question though I've seen a couple of your other videos where you drag your drift boat over some pretty gnarly terrain and to me what seemed like a painfully long distance haha, what does the bottom of that thing look like, and what kind of life expectations do you have for it, i just can't bring myself to do that to my boat haha.
Great adventure, please put some overload springs or some equivalent on that F-150 hate to see a full size pickup with its front end up in the air and the butt in sagging.
Y'all should be here in MT when we actually have a REAL winter. 2020 winter has been super disappointing so far but glad you boys come out here now. Y'all come back now ya hear?
19:37 that is definitely not a teal, teal don’t have pointed beaks! Merganser, maybe? Hope so, most of the other stuff that looks like that is illegal af to shoot
Watching this from the Salt Lake County Jail. No I'm a deputy not an inmate. In love with the channel. Don't know why you had to go to Montana when Utah has a ton to offer as far as fly fishing rivers.
@@rockymountaintrout2689 Provo is a great numbers river, but the Weber River and Spanish Fork river hold bigger fish. I love the Strawberry river as well.
@@rhyscooper6023 Yeah I was down in salt lake city on a family vacation, didnt really have a chance to fish other then some alpine lake at some ski resort near park city. But definitely would love to fish there more often, I live in colorado so the rivers are a bit different here haha
I have no clue how these guys don’t have a million subs best fishing video production on UA-cam for sure
severely underrated
Super excited you guys added in the waterfowl addition to the float

Love the video, don’t see much fly fishing/waterfowl hunting, and I love that you guys do it. Wish there was more of it, good job on all the videos.

You need your own TV show. The whole production is worthy of so much more. LOVE

Duck Hunting with Danny McBride is on my bucket list

So does scotty film and edit everything cause the quality is nuts??
Yessir. Glad you enjoy it!
If only you guys went a week later haha. Weather was beautiful first week of November. Caught my PB cutthroat that week!

One shot-dead. Two shots-maybe. Three shots-nope. Still, was fun watching! Great vid.
Reciently found you guys. Great videos! What cameras are you using?
nice share, waiting for the next content
When I fish when it's cold I have a hard time keeping the ice out of my eyelets.
What became of the ducks? Is that something we will see in an after hours video? Excellent job as always.
What shop did y’all buy the shotgun from?
You guys from Utah??? I wanna come next trip!!!
I didnt know Danny McBride fly fished!!!
“ Get after it” would look good on a T-shirt. Just sayin
Did you by any chance have a fuel filters on those shotties boys or was it a video edit?
Open water definatly fall, although a cold fall.
What kinda streamer was that brownie
Plz do more vids with fishing and hunting
You guys need a clacka!
I watched this further north, in Alberta, no, it was not warm.
Drop a cooking episode for the ducks
It’s in the agenda for next season 😋
Don't you love the Madison?
I didn't know Danny McBride was a fisherman
Pretty sure that second duck was a merganser not a teal.
and if the air temp is below 36 far. or 2 cel,, do not remove the fish from the water.. the gills can freeze and kill the fish....painfully
Can you guys take me fishing with you 😂
