- It was a zombie that sparked the flame and created this channel and when we now have hit 400K subscribers it’s only fair that we make the ultimate zombie special fx makeup tutorial. This is a two part post with one prosthetics how-to video and one application video. And we know that even you beginners will be able to recreate this ultimate zombie with great results. Let’s do it!

I like that the tutorials are split into two pieces! Very helpful when you're looking for a video specifically on sculpting or application and painting.
love it when you split the videos up but i still watch both
Your approach to splitting the videos in to two is a very good idea in my opinion! It gives some people more tips and more time and advance to get it done before the actual application video!

I definitely think it's a good idea to split up vids like this. I'm really glad you paid close attention to making your edges nice and thin so they blend out nicely, because I loved your Tooth Fairy tutorial but the thing that stood out in that video was the harsh edges of the prosthetic. Great job guys.
I think it’s a good approach to split up the videos. I love how you describe the tutorial and through in the details. And the language lessons as well
I personally prefer them as one video so it's all in one place, but as long as I keep up with your new videos, it's not really any problem at all.

Really cool approach, making two different videos. It worked really well and it makes it easier to watch which ever one you want to learn from.
I like that you split up the tutorials, that way if I want to make the piece I don't have to go back and guess which tutorial it's in !

Depending on the prosthetic you are making if it's extremely complex then I recommend making it an all in one video. But if it's a super simple prosthetic then make in one video as well but if it's a beginner to intermediate prosthetic then I would recommend making it in to video

The only reason they don't do silicone is because they want to have the tutorials be easy for everyone who isn't a Spfx artist silicone isn't cheap

I think it is an amazing idea, allot of people don't do their videos like that and it can be annoying to have to watch one part of something if you only want to watch the other. 😊

This makeup is amazing but I think it would have looked cooler if you used like a white contact instead. Like the cloudy white kind I think

First of all great video as always. Love the editing and the look Elli created. The model is very pretty to even in the zombie look.
For the separate videos... I think it would be better to keep them as one video so people can track the complete look in one time. People that look for the prosthetics should know by now that you guys always make them the first part of the video. Maybe you can make a list on your account with all the videos that use prosthetics so people can check the first 5/6 minutes of the video instead.

I personally believe that you should keep the videos split up just for the fact that it really helps people like me who know how to apply and paint the prosthetic but are not entirely sure how to make one.

I think the split prosthetics/makeup tutorial is a neat idea.
Also, where do you guys get the money to buy all these products? Do you get paid to make these videos, or do you both have other jobs?

+UnknownNoa Sure thing. But usually we get the products from local Swedish stores so unless you live in our city or country it wouldn't be of much use :P But we will try to make a list that works world wide.

I love this channel you guys have really expired me to do sfx make up but I can because we don't have the money. Thank you guys so much for making a UA-cam videos I want to do sfx makeup like Elli but I know that never going to happen. keep up the good work.😄😄😄😄😄😄😊.
I too do not have a lot of money! But I have learned to compromise! I have discovered that liquid glue works in place of liquid latex in many situations. I also make a lot of DIY products. DIY scar wax with Vaseline and flour, DIY fake blood with syrup and red ink from a crayola marker, DIY bruises with dollar store watercolor paints! So look around your house, see what you can find with similar textures to many sfx items! Check out my Instagram page to see my sfx pieces I've done. @kaylee.ropson is my Instagram.
Just to say it's really helpful to me when you do it in two videos. when I need to apply I will go to one video and when I'm making this prosthetics I will go to the other. this is a huge help btw as I don't have to pause at the right bit and have to keep going back (if that makes sence)! and the huge squeezy bottle of blood, what brand is it? because I keep going through so much blood!
I buy my squeeze bottles for my blood at sally's beauty supply
Have you ever tried using eyelash glue for the parts around the eyes?? I used to use it for small areas near my eyes bc it's safe to get really close! Just an idea that worked for me!

About the two videos: If you are uploading both videos at the same time - I've got no problem with it ;) Some UA-camr upload first the application and a few days later the prosthetic video. I like to watch both on the same time.

+VaaraNethilia Yes, the ones we have split we have always uploaded at the same time :) Uploading with a few days delay is only cause they want more views on the first. So they're thinking more about themselves than their subscribers. So for sure we'll always upload both at the same time.

0:12 IM FUCKING CRYING
I tried to make a face cast TWICE failed twice. It just keeps coming out really damp whenever I take off the plaster, and smaller than my face :( talking about width wise. Very frustrating , any advice ?
Make sure the face cast plaster strips have a place to lay when pouring the plaster in otherwise the mould will be deformed and the cast won't be exact to your face
Also plaster shrinks once dried

whats the difference between latex and adhesive when it comes to attaching prosthetics? is one better than the other?
There isn't much of a difference, it's just based on personal preference, area of application, and how long you want to wear the makeup. Some adhesives last better than others, and on specific surfaces better. Latex is good if you want to use it with other latex adhesives, and blend out the edges. Pros-aide is quite nice as well c:

What type of paint do you use? Is it more of a body paint?
+Alyssa Lee The gray:ish one we mixed was with regular childrens finger paints. Waterbased colours. The others are grease based ones from the Kryolan Suprocolor collection :)
It was good, but i couldn't get passed those edges, lol they were driving me nuts, lol blend those edges.
I understand why you need to be really careful with latex near your eyes, but why is it okay to put it on your lips? Wouldn't it like, be toxic? Or rip off skin? I'm sorry, In just confused xD
+Sierra Crosby On your lips is fine, but you do not want it in your mouth! And it won't rip (no latex I have tried) skin off :)

because its zombie the blood must be brown (when someone dies the blood becomes dark brown because of the decomposition) but your work its really cool and i love your videos
Zombie blood is all different
The fresh ones are more fresh blood the ones that have been dead longer have had lymphatic blood
