Cortez The Konqueror, I watched your unboxing video of the Ver. 1 of the real Buckets and noticed that the water reservoir looks like two 5 gallon buckets with a float valve in the bottom of the top 5 gallon bucket. Can yo confirm this for me. Chicago Born and raised . Have a great weekend
Glad I found your Chanel man. I was on the phone with the dude a few months ago asking if you had a Chanel. I wish I could get the real buckets in Canada. I’m doing hempys most of the time but hand watering in fabric pots with my first run with the grow dots right now.
Honestly man hand watering with fabric pots is the way to go it’s what I have the most success with… I would recommend an amended super soil with grow dots and @realgrowers recharge, the more organics you add to your soil the less you have to ph your solution… full disclosure I haven’t turned my ph pen on in about 2 years, my soil is a base of 50/50% ocean forest and happy frog then I cut in about 15-20% added perlite, I mix this in a big 55 gallon storage tote but leave room at the top to once again add purple cow non manure active compost at a ratio of about 1/3 of the mixture I already have in the storage bin… best part is that you can recycle this mixture to save some coin, but I do reammend with fresh ocean forest and compost so the main hit really is just the initial sourcing of supplies to get the soil right the first time… with more organics I’ve unlocked the cheat code to healthy, happy, and fuss free plants… as well as increased my trichome and terpene production at least 5 fold, I’m not strictly organic though I like using synthetic bloom and additives for max yield and performance but with proper flush protocol this is a none issue to final product… coco grows are cool but I’m at a point where if I have to ph it’s not worth it to me ✌🏼

Might try a super soil net run but I wanna give the grow dots a good go. I’ve tried autopots hempys but my best grows are in fabric pots hand watering. I’m looking for a hands off set up because I’m not home much in the summer to look after the plants.
Hey Cortez, I haven’t heard back from Scotty yet. I’m curious if you think I could use Royal Gold’s Tepur soilless mix. Which is a coco/ peat mix? Also, would you recommend using the Clay Pebbles in the basket as well as Recharge and Silica in the mixed in the water rez? Appreciate you! 🤜🤛
Scotty’s advise to me was to pack the net cup with coco, honestly for best results use canna, not a bad idea to add 20% worm castings, I did 20% purple compost instead… I’m not the biggest fan of coco and I’m at a point in life where if I got to ph it ain’t worth it #loyal2dasoil4life

I like to blend my Royal Gold Tepur, perlite and Castings as my magic blend. Never been to comfortable with pure coco. My only Canna plug was Grow Generation for $20 a bag until they closed up shop! 😞 I found a new shop and their only pure coco is the Roots Organic. So I guess thats gonna be my new go to for Coco. 🤜🤛

@CortezTheKonqueror new to the real buckets an dots an recharge but my one question is canna coco with what mixed before filling ya buckets..... earth worm or what kinda worm castings an what else I've Herd scotty recently mention doliamtic lime 😮😮😮 I'm jist ossuming 1 part worm castings to 2 parts 3 parts coco an Herd scotty say 1 tea spoon thst d lime for each gallon of medium also are the real buckets 4gal???
@@gordongilley6103 I ended up mixing Coco, Worm Castings, Bio Char and Diatomaceous Earth. I have always stayed clear of D Lime. I’ve heard it totally tweaking out the PH in the media.
I just got grow tech bucket inserts and you can use soil I got three going not big enough to bottom water yet but excited to see how they work hope you have some fun with the real buckets I was thinking of put a air stone in mine just to try

I did a diy version on my last photo grow with air stones and no res.. I’m running the same cut in these let’s see what happens!

How much of the coco in the net cup is submerged in the water? It didnt look like the net cups were submerged at all tbh.
