Was stationed at Ft Richardson 76-77. Went to Palmer a few times on days off. Drove to Goose Bay a lot while on duty. Been so long it is getting hazy, but did go to the dragstrip one time.
@@BigManAlaska yea haven't update my @handle yet😊. Thank you for positive feedback. My youtube is not monetize yet haven't reach to 1k subs so i'm not earning anything😊. I just enjoying making videos for now, recently not much goin on 😊.
I was hoping to see if I recognized it but the extreme telephoto making the mountains 30 times larger than they really appear was disappointing. I worked for Max and Dorothy Sherrod on their produce farm in 1973. I hitchiked up from Iowa before leaving for the Marine Corps. Max was getting his world record cabbage and turnips ready for the Alaska State Fair.
theres some for sale in Palmer, theres one in our neighboor selling their property, and another one nearby the house small but land is big, and saw more property for sale too. Anyways, Glad you guys have great time in Alaska.
A nice-looking town I must say, but never heard of it (to my knowledge anyway). It looks a lot like one of California's towns, but in the polar style. Enjoy your 1 month of summer if you can.

I was there in April, didn't quite get all the way up Lazy Mountain, but I did make it up the Butte. for me (from chicago) that was awesome!
It is stunning in a butte especially fall time, fall colors☺️. Glad you had fun.😊👍
That's a very nice drive, winter is my favorite time of year. A good day is 3 degrees or lower with a blizzard.
that's good 😊. ski, snowboarding, snowmachining , ice fishing are great stuffs to do in the winter time.
A little commentary would of been nice but that was a beautiful day for capturing some of our daily mountain views.💞
Superb.
sometimes winter is pretty cold😊

Lived there for 16 years! Hope you like hurricane winds!
we always get tons of snow and strong winds but summer so great love the heat.
We ended up buying a home in Wasilla. Nothing available in Palmer. Yes I like strong winds. Went through a couple hurricanes in Florida

Summer is really hot in alaska😊,
It can be, yes. But the hot temperatures usually don't stick around, especially if the Earth is cooling down. Alaska does have a polar climate.
Will be moving there in the next month
