Hard Country Life in a Village Forest House: Harvesting Firewood. Simple Country Food!

We are promised a cold snap, so we have been busy preparing for the bad weather by winterizing the Old Forest House by chopping and stacking enough firewood to keep us warm!
At the beginning of the week, taking advantage of the warm days, we decided to finish laying the ridge on the roof. It was not possible to do this earlier because the roof was quite slippery.
