Adolphus is so frigging good for poison / fire oriented teams especially.
U can even run Adolphus with ya ice traveler and he will instead Heal if the traveler has just shielded your team.
He's just so good.
For tank i use Garius because his heals are just insane and don't require any positioning from rest of the team.
If cleansing is needed i usually just bring Enna.
And we all know just how broken Sigrid is....
I use Sigrid with the Gambler's Set 3 set bonus, because even autos can proc it so it's a lot of free dmg outside of abilities.
You can even cheese that set bonus with other champions to gain some more dmg out of non dmg dealers if ya can get away with it.
A great tip if our tank ain't quite Tanky enough, is to put your Healer in the Ancestral Protection set to give him another 15% dmg mitigation it's quite strong.
Since the legendary sets are three piece it would be cool if they added unique named weapons/armor you could slot into the other spot like diablo 2.
I chose Vicuc for my 99 cent chest also. I absolutely love him and have zero regrets. He really helps any cleanse need.
I use the same exact team you except instead of Adolphus (I do own him) I use Huldork. He add yet another attack penalty to fill in if anyone misses. The blind helps reduce basic damage and he lands fewer debuffs with the accuracy penalty on his ultimate.
Catherine is amazing, and I have set for Huldork to use his ultimate during the time that Catherine's debuff block is down.
So in essence, I use the same basic strategy but instead of using shields to reduce the damage I take, I instead use Huldork's blind, accuracy penalty and short atk reduction on battle skill.
The obvious benefit of this method is that Huldork has over 5k attack so much faster.
I do understand Huldork is a legendary and I totally appreciate your using no legendaries in your strategies. I just like to talk strategy. 😎

I'm new to the game, less than a week and I'm struggling with this boss.
Replace Adolphus with Aidrie so she slows the boss turn meter (wear crown artifact for decrease defence too). Replace Catherine with Enna to clear the recharge speed penalty debuff (Vicuc clears the first 2). Problem solved.
I have the crown and the Witches remains haha. And Catherine in 10x better than Enna. If run 2 x cleansers the presets become even more annoying

I'm super unlucky with cleansers or shields, no epic ones whatsoever. Is there any rare replacement for Adolphus, like Dubok or something? I have Frurbath and Torrin but that's about it. Is there any chance to pull 9 off withoit Adolphus/Thia/Vicuc? EDIT: This is hilarious, after I write this, literally 10 minutes later I go roll starlight and Thia drops :D
