Sorr the tour guide cant tell the major tribes of mizoram Lusei Hmar Ralte Lai Paite Thado Mara All these tribes have subtribes. There are other tribes living in myanmar like falam tedim etc. Yes he is true in some parts its too big to say all. But I just mention major tribe in mizoram only. Not mizo as a whole. The lingua franca here in mizoram is duhlian aka lushai aka mizo. Majority of people in chin hills can understand duhlian while speaking their own dialect
I don't know if Lasi is really a Fairy. But we Mizo believe that the Lasi are some evil spirits that done good things to humans. Lasi are spiritual things that look after the animals and the forest. They used to bless warriors and sometimes Great Warriors often fell in love with Lasi which we Mizo called Zawl. If a person is zawl to a Lasi then he will live very long and always be successful in hunting and agriculture. So that means that the Lasi used to bless them. But one bad thing is that a person who is Zawl with a Lasi are not allowed to say or told to people that they are Zawl to Lasi. If they even speak a single word about being Zawl by a Lasi then they will immediately die from the moment they spoke out. In the Mizo Mythology, we have a story of a beautiful girl named Chawngtinleri who later became the Queen of Lasi. Chawngtinleri was known as the most beautiful woman among all the human beings and that is why even the Cheif of Lasi fell in love with her so much that one night in Chawngtinleri's brother's dream, the Cheif of the Lasi asked her brother to give Chawngmawii and ask to swap her with a beautiful animal. Her Brother didn't know that it was not an ordinary dream so he agreed. Afterwards in the story, Chawngtinleri was kidnapped or should we say taken away by the fairies. From that moment she became the Chieftainess/Queen of Mount Tantlang Lasi.
Sahlam is a tree where enemies heads are hanged. 😃😃😃. Unlike the other headhunters in this world, we Chin-Kuki-Mizo never collect heads and taking heads inside the village is illegal. So we use to hanged it in the Sahlam. Sahlam is also important for educating the Children in the olden days. Our Forefathers used to teach us to look down on our enemies and teach us to show no mercy to our enemies, it also emboldened the Children.
Despite the economic downturn caused by the war here in Ukraine 🇺🇦, I’m so happy☺️. I have been earning $32,000 returns from my $8,000 investment every 13 days. All thanks to Mrs Sharon
Nope. One of Duhlian's dialects. Remember!! If we called Duhlian language then we would need to include the Hualngo's too. Cause Hualngo's and Lusei are both Duhliana's descendants.
😂😂 If it was the olden days you'll see many animal heads and enemies heads hanging here and there. Especially if it was the Anglo-Lusei war. 😂😂. Those f*cking English, they ran away so fast. Among all the Britishers, we Mizo hate the English, except for the Welsh, Scottish and Irish since they've helped us a lot. Before we Mizo were Christians, we also have a religion called Sakhua. Sakhua is a little bit similar to Judaism and Shintoism. In Mizo Sakhua, we believe that every object in this world has a spirit. We also have a God named Vana whom we Mizo believe is a good and great guy who lives in the Sky. Every year we will sacrifice a Bull to Him so that he can bless us in agriculture, gave us wealth and prosperity, etc. Also in the olden days each clan has a Sakhua. We have two different types of priests that is Bawlpu( A priest that handles the evil spirits) and Puithiam(A priest that offers sacrifice and handle rituals). In Mizo Sakhua we believe that all the bad things are caused by the evil spirits and all the good things happened because of the Good spirits. There are also some ev spirits that are good to humans in some ways. For example the Lasi. Lasi are an evil spirit that take care of the forest and animals. There are times when a Warrior falls in love with a Lasi and that is when they used to Zawl. Those who are used to be Zawl by Lasi cannot die and used to live long, if they want they can live for a billion years. If a person is zawl by a Lasi then he is not allowed to tell people that he is Zawl by Lasi or else he will die. We Mizo also have prophets in the olden days which we called Zawlnei. Before Christianity arrived in Mizoram, these Zawlneis had already prophesies that the Britishers were coming to spread Christianity. Many people believe that we Mizo are animists but animism is way different compared to Mizo Sakhua. They used to say that we Mizo are forced to convert into Christianity but that is wrong and false information. We Mizo were monotheists in the olden days. The reason why there is many heads is because in the olden days we Mizo have a belief that to go to Piallei which is a little bit similar to heaven, we need to fulfil Thangchhuah. Thangchhuah can only be fulfilled by wealthy families in the olden days. Those who cannot Thangchhuah during their lifetime will remain in the Village/Land of the dead which we Mizo called Mitthi Khua.
@@bohilvlog 😂😂. The Britishers would not record much of our history and theirs as they were a little bit ashamed. The person who planted the Sahlam tree was the Zahau Cheif Nikuala. Nikuala is the son in law of the Great Eastern Lusei Cheif of Champhai village named Vanhnuailiana Sailo aka Vonolel. If know about Lord Roberts of Kandahar and his horse. Lord Roberts is one of India's Army General during the British time. Lord Roberts named his horse Vonolel to honour Vanhnuailiana Sailo. Nikuala was captured by the Britishers and was sent to Rangoon Jail where he died. To even capture a single man(Nikuala) the Britishers made a camp and sent 500 well equipped troops. If Nikuala wants, he can cut all their heads but since there he cared for his people he surrendered😃😃. The first time we Mizo and Britishers counteract can be traced back to 1700's. We made many deals with them to stop expanding, so finally in 1871-1872, we made a big a raid.
