Thanks everyone for the overwhelming support. I usually reply to comments, but there's a ton of you this time around. I am okay, not a scratch, and the XR will be fixed eventually. I will make another video assessing the damage to the bike and talking a bit about what caused the incident. In the meanwhile, the Tuono will be seeing all the action; it's got some big shoes to fill like the saying goes.
Feels awful seeing this. I'm not gonna lie aside from the bent forks on mine it came away with a lot less damage than yours, I'm surprised, given the crash bars, and that it was a lowside. Hopefully, it's not as bad as it looks...
Comes with the sport and is bound to happen. Bikes can be fixed, people less. Glad you are OK. Sad to see the XR down, but she still looks good. Take care out there.
True story 😢 I was all ACE , until I crashed... Had to go for surgery on my right hand & my thumb got fused too , Now , when I ride track ... I'm slightly more cautious and just enjoying the day out
Oh no! I did pretty much the same thing on my S1000XR last year on a favorite twisty back road, fast in a turn and leaned over so nicely, felt great about life right until grinding the peg lifted the rear wheel and low sided to the outside of the turn. Thankfully the bike didn't tumble and the crash bars did their job and it was not too badly damaged. On the rest of the ride home my thoughts were centered on, "welp, I am not Cuban Rider. I am not Cuban Rider. I need to remember that I am not Cuban Rider." It was alarming to come to the realization that my comfort level had gotten steadily higher to the point I was maxing out the ability of the bike and not really aware of how little I was leaving on the table at that speed/lean. A good ego check for myself. Sad as I am to see you go down in the same way I did, it's some consolation that we're all fallible. But still, I am not Cuban Rider. I am not Cuban Rider. I am not on a track. I am not Cuban Rider. Take it easy friend, and thank you for sharing these videos; they're definitely hard. Sadly, I didn't have footage rolling during mine. You continue to be an inspiration.
Hey man, atleast it was on the track and not the street. This is why we go to the track. Keep your head up my dude, you handled it well. Most riders have or will go down eventually. I know it's frustrating now but I'm sure it's a valuable lesson to you. Keep comfortable in your own realm, one lap at a time. God speed my friend.
Ouch, been there. Sucks! I have a 16 XR which I really enjoy but I’ve never felt super confident in that front grip going hard. If I was positioned up over the frontend more and maybe some better cartridges? I feel way more confident on my S1k. Regardless I feel your pain
Thanks for posting non-flattering reality. This type of honesty warns noobs with truth and humbles progressive riders who appreciate how even your elevated riding skills are not foolproof.
Dang, went quick mate. Love those OEM engine bars, I put them on my Gen 1 after seeing your earlier vids. To be able to pick it up, no oil pouring out a cracked case, whether your on a track or out in the wild by yourself, is such a win👍.
I don't normally laugh at these sort of things but the "let's see if I can borrow some lines" followed by an immediate slide is just too good not to chuckle at.
Painful to watch. Glad you and the bike are (relatively) fine. I had my first low side at the track last year. That feeling of seeing your bike slide away from you...Very distressing. Ride safe.
I'm glad you showed what the rider said to you during your pit stop. It's why alot of riders go down!! First time I went down is due to me following another rider who was more skilled than me in turns. It never happened again tho 💪🏾😅
hey bro, in hope to help you understanding what happened, I've done a kind of same mistake and the answer to me is we can not change our riding style just in a second. We better think about it on sessions break and make a constant riding choice in one run 😊 cheers and have a good come back on track
Man that sucks, I’m glad your up and walking right after the fall, last summer I went down like that on my mt10 with only 300km on it and I was not this lucky, bike was destroyed and I was badly hurt. I’m back on a new bike now taking it slowly. I’ll tell you what you do next, jump on the tuono and take that corner even faster without falling lol. Ride safe and keep doing what you love. God bless.
That couldn’t have been a better off. Shame about the bike but you did great coming off and keeping your cool 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 props brother, she’ll be up and running in no time 🙏🏻
Glad to hear you are OK. The bike can be fixed, didn't seem that much damage. I have been there before, so I believe I understand some of your feelings.
That really sucks…started watching your videos cause of the S3 1200 RS. Heal up and keep them coming it could happen to anyone that is riding that fast!
Great video. You going down was painful to watch, but it shows what it feels like - one moment you're fine, the other you're on the ground thinking WTF
Yo Cuban sorry to see you go down dude,I think it's a for a track bike, the xr to bloody good to throw down the road, hopefully the damage isn't to bad.👍👍
😶Glad you are okay. You're in good company. Been riding forever, crashed 4 times total. Three were my lack of skill/stupidity. The fourth--right turn just like you and I highsided, breaking my left shoulder. Healed up quick, back on the bike. REALLY interested in your brief analysis of what happened, so we can all learn. Looks like you just lost grip? Thanks for posting the vid bro.
It’s inevitable this happens when you go track a lot.. so sorry to see bike hurt but your ok. Thanks for showing us the video hope you get it sorted. Can’t imagine the cost hope you had some protection.
Seeing how hard you push that bike, the crash was kinda weird. Looks like the rear end lost traction quickly, not much you can you there. It happens to pretty much everyone I know who does track days, glad you are ok 👍
Ah, sorry to see this Cuban but fair play for posting it here. You were so quick to get up and get back astride, that is the hammer, it is the only way. This is testament to the fact, no matter how good you are in the saddle, you certainly are, it can catch you out without any clue when it will. Glad you are OK and I hope you get your bike fixed up soon. Keep at it and keep posting! 👍
So sorry you had that crash, man. It happens to the best of us. Hopefully you and the bike are ok. Same thing happened to me at Tail of the Dragon. Rode 10 hours to get there and dumped it in the wet.
As we all know, our rides can be repaired...so I'm glad you are ok!! Repairing the riders is much harder...been there done that 🙃 I sold my XR1k and I still miss it, best handling sport-adv bike I've owned and ridden :) Looking forward to seeing your ride all put back together, looking shiny new for another track day. Cheers!!
straightup champion of champs bro got right back on the bike and road it back (just had my first experience sliding out could barely move my thumb the next day glad your good)
I’m very sorry! But the important thing is that you are ok! New awarness are added on your backpack, already plenty of skills. Go back soon my friend!✊
Falling of the bike is part of the game. Im impressed how calm you stay and you got the adrenalin unter control! Everybody says - bike dont care, only thing that counts is the bones stays intact. But at the very moment nobody things about the bones and injuries you may have - its all about the bike and how bad it is - and the phase saying - its not that bad - and the phase realizing it is and it costs a bit to fix it up... that is causing pain - at least to me it was like that. Any bruises and sprains are gone fast. Looks like you lost the rear - strange to be honest... I would be interested in the reasond you thing you fall of the bike. That was always driving me crazy to understand why something happening...
There is little warning to no warning to the loss of traction, and so little time to react to it. It is how you deal with crashes that defines you as a rider.
Ahhh Mi hermano! Back to the drawing board. Great to see you are okay. Bike can be fixed 🙊 (excuse for upgrades). I haven't call you in a while miss you guys. Talk soon.
I chucked my brand new Street Triple R down the road going to work one morning in a similar low-side. Wasn't even going quickly at all (pulling away from red light making a left turn) and it felt like someone turned friction OFF for a moment.
Aie, sometimes it happens, will be interested to find out your assesment on why/how it happened, it looks like you lost the front rather than the rear?... good luck, hope the damage to the XR is not too bad!
The laws of physics win every time. It’s absolutely amazing what you do on the XR but it’s a big heavy bike and your starting to reach its capability on track. Anyway, glad your good and there are very few of us that haven’t hit the tarmac at some point 👍🏻
Nooooooooo 😭 Not the XR 😭 man thank God you are fine and nothing happened to you and please please please fix the XR !!! As in every of your videos "Coming for the XR and staying for the XR" !!! 🙏
Wow, you were so calm even after pitching it down the road. You looked so smooth too. I’m not really sure what happened there. Too much throttle while leaned over? Glad you’re okay
I understand every rider's instinct is to stand the bike back up (I do the same, I really wonder where it comes from...) But while it is good idea to take it a bit away from the track it probably isn't the best idea to ride it at least without a bit of an inspection. My feeling is you were in a bit of a shock and that's what explains it. For what it is worth, it is always better to learn those lessons on the track than on the street. I think if you really must, track is the place to do it.
sorry that happened to ya man.. luckily should be easy fixes. and you're okay so that's what matters. i'd be absolutely devastated if that happened to my baby.. would suck to ruin 16 year old limited run plastics...
sorry to see that happen, but one thing to keep in mind is to never stand your bike up after it's been down at the track. becomes something other riders can fixate on and mess up their lines and cause accidents.
Never mind, it happens. I'm dropping my XR off today for transport to Portimao from the UK today. Was thinking of leaving the centre stand on as guide!, what you think?
Watched it a few times looks like a tricky corner small portion of off camber as you start to pick up the throttle front and rear lose in a millisecond. Had a similar one about 18 months ago 8 weeks off work and a very pricey rebuild of a S1000R! Such is life!
That lean was decent, but it didn't look enough to drag a peg, which is what I heard before the rear lost it's grip. If you're not bringing a supersport to the track, gotta be mindful of your lean angle capability. Glad you're okay.
ive been there, Ducati 750 SS on Eastern Creek Australia in 1999. And I was chasing a quicker turning bike, wrong line, off the track and crash. I was target fixated, instead of riding my bike to the track demands, I must pass at all costs and it did indeed cost me.
Need an RR if you're going to push like that. The "fast" guy in front is at least partially fast because of the bike. People will read this as negative comment, or negative to the XR etc, but it's not, you can ride, the XR is a great bike - but there's a limit to what a bike can do. When you reach that limit, as you have, either back off and be happy with that, or get yourself a better tool for the job you're trying to do.
Feels bad man. I can deffo feel the "nose smurfs" after the crash. :/ Im no Toprak Razgatioglu but am an advanced rider myself. Your riding style seems smooth and you aint pushing yourself too hard. 1 thing i can say could be the cause of the lowside is off the throttle mid corner and i dont know what tires you have on it. Even if you have enough speed try to keep a little bit throttle so the tire is pushing in to the ground atleast not lift off if you know what im saying. Bike is more grippy when you a bit On the gas. My most avanced way to slowdown mid corner if im too fast is not to even close the throttle, but keep it in the same position and just take the engines power a bit by applying small amount of rear brake. For tires. Try Pirelli Diablo Rosso 3 . Great dual compound sport tire you can drag knee and comute and it will last. I dont buy anything else since i found these tires 6 years ago. The bike doesnt look too bad after the crash.
Thanks everyone for the overwhelming support. I usually reply to comments, but there's a ton of you this time around. I am okay, not a scratch, and the XR will be fixed eventually. do you know what happened? im sure you'll be talking about it in a later video.
You ride on the track, eventually this happens. Glad you’re ok.
Luckily it wasn't at the gap, would be a different vid.
Glad you are okay, parts can be replaced ❤
Comes with the sport and is bound to happen. Bikes can be fixed, people less. Glad you are OK. Sad to see the XR down, but she still looks good. Take care out there.

@@stevenjackson5541 bro u drive a 400 not much limits to be pushed
I can't imagine seeing my bike get thrown across the track like that. Respect to you for posting this raw.
Oh no! Upgraded from 390 cc KTM to s1000xr and your channel was inspiring, sad to see, safe rides.
Dang, went quick mate. Love those OEM engine bars, I put them on my Gen 1 after seeing your earlier vids. To be able to pick it up, no oil pouring out a cracked case, whether your on a track or out in the wild by yourself, is such a win👍.

As crashes go, that was a good one-hope you get it back to better than before soon. I love that you love this bike as much as you do.
Glad to see you're ok. The XR can be mended.
Not the XR. :( Hope you build her back better. This is the bike that inspired me to get one and to go with brentuning!
Painful to watch. Glad you and the bike are (relatively) fine. I had my first low side at the track last year. That feeling of seeing your bike slide away from you...Very distressing. Ride safe.

Gutted for you Cuban 😢 The ones you can walk away from are at least some sort of positive. Stay safe man
Man! That hurt me. I hate to see that. At least your ok.
Glad you’re ok!!!When pushing it ,at some point it will happen..to all of us.Jump on the tuono asap to keep the mind sharp.Cheers
As we say in the UK, any crash you can walk away from is a good one
hey bro, in hope to help you understanding what happened,
I've done a kind of same mistake and the answer to me is we can not change our riding style just in a second. We better think about it on sessions break and make a constant riding choice in one run 😊 cheers and have a good come back on track
Lucky the bike didn't begin to flip violently
I see you have these protective bars and they seem to have done an excellent job.
Speedy recovery for you and the bike. Keep your sweet riding !
Man that sucks, I’m glad your up and walking right after the fall, last summer I went down like that on my mt10 with only 300km on it and I was not this lucky, bike was destroyed and I was badly hurt. Damn man. Hope you're ok and the XR is fixable. Love watching you on that thing. Convinced me to get one.
I'm really sorry, I hope everything is going well for you. For the xr even if it's always raging it's not the most important. Be well.
Sucks man. It happens and know the feeling all too well. At least you were not injured.
Did I hear the scraping start a split second before the tires went and started low siding?
I had a near identical lowside at Willow Springs.
knee down to you for uploading this video and the angles you can achieve with such an upright bike.
Glad you're okay. Thanks for posting. Reminds us all about pushing to the limit. I've had an off at 65MPH full gear so no serious injuries.
That really sucks…started watching your videos cause of the S3 1200 RS. Heal up and keep them coming it could happen to anyone that is riding that fast!
When you push your limit's it's inevitable, glad it happened on the track and be thankful you're alright.
man, sorry to see that happen. hope you're good to get bck on track soon.
Great video. You going down was painful to watch, but it shows what it feels like - one moment you're fine, the other you're on the ground thinking WTF

Ouch felt that, hurt pride . That’s why I wouldn’t use my own bike , far too expensive to repair. Hope you are ok 👍
Seeing how hard you push that bike, the crash was kinda weird. Looks like the rear end lost traction quickly, not much you can you there. It happens to pretty much everyone I know who does track days, glad you are ok 👍
Love Cuban hope all works out for you Tio! Great energy from you in that group ride we went on a couple of weeks ago!
Glad your Ok. Your calm is noteworthy and a mark of your character.
"Well that didn't work out " 😂
Straight Savage! 💪😎
Ah, sorry to see this Cuban but fair play for posting it here. You were so quick to get up and get back astride, that is the hammer, it is the only way. I’m very sorry! But the important thing is that you are ok!
New awarness are added on your backpack, already plenty of skills.
Go back soon my friend!✊
Sorry for your loss. What a beautiful bike and it doesn't look super bad.
I'm happy you're okay
Thankfully not the new bike. Glad you are ok 👍🐾🐾

I'm sorry for the financial loss but happy to see you without a dent after the incident.
Glad your ok brother, XR is a tough mother 👍
fucking respect man, took that shit like a champ. glad youre all good dawg
Glad you are ok. Happens to the best of them. amazing how quick it just went.
Crazy how things can happen at the blink of an eye, but glad your ok. Congratulations on the Aprilia. Stay safe.
It happens to all of us. It's nice to see videos on the track and not on the streets. You get my sub.
Bro, so sorry that happened to you, hope you’re doing okay!
The laws of physics win every time. It’s absolutely amazing what you do on the XR but it’s a big heavy bike and your starting to reach its capability on track. Anyway, glad your good and there are very few of us that haven’t hit the tarmac at some point 👍🏻
OOF!!! That hurt my heart. You weren’t even pushing.
Glad you’re okay
dang it! was hoping your bike was going to stay down & then it did the slow flip @ the end, glad you are ok
I actually gasp out loud. I am so sorry and sad for you.
sorry that happened to ya man.. luckily should be easy fixes. and you're okay so that's what matters. i'd be absolutely devastated if that happened to my baby.. would suck to ruin 16 year old limited run plastics...
Dammmnn! That’s unfortunate! Glad to see you’re okay! 😢
Glad you’re okay brother hope u get it fixed soon 🤙
Glad you're okay, dude!
Bent handlebar, cracked windscreen. But you made it look graceful guy. Could have been an awful lot worse.
Good video mate. Hard hitting, but a good lesson. Appreciate your uploads, and thanks for the coffee! Subscribed.
sorry to see that happen, but one thing to keep in mind is to never stand your bike up after it's been down at the track. becomes something other riders can fixate on and mess up their lines and cause accidents.
Glad you was ok! Sorry to see your bike was damaged I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Keep safe and hopefully it's a easy repair.
At least you didnt get hurt. Not seeing what scraped, your lean looked fine.
😢.
Tbf you're an amazing rider so this can happen to anyone and the safest place is the track
Never mind, it happens.
I'm dropping my XR off today for transport to Portimao from the UK today. Was thinking of leaving the centre stand on as guide!, what you think?
I hope you are doing well brother.
It happens buddy ! You ride fast and have fun . The most important thing is you are ok !!!!! You can always replace a motorcycle.
I happy that for ur ok sorry for the lost, bit its time to change the bike and start with new one
Watched it a few times looks like a tricky corner small portion of off camber as you start to pick up the throttle front and rear lose in a millisecond. Had a similar one about 18 months ago 8 weeks off work and a very pricey rebuild of a S1000R! Such is life!

Sorry man that you went down but glad you are ok. I didn’t see the cause of what happened to make you go down.
There is a Motorsport Ranch Southwest of Ft Worth also. Are the tracks related?
Glad you're alright, man
Seeing the thumbnail, "Oh no!!!" At least it was a lowside and you're not hurt.
I wrecked an R1 at Mosport here in Ontario. It happens. Study why it happened with an open mind and use it as a learning tool.
Need an RR if you're going to push like that.
The "fast" guy in front is at least partially fast because of the bike.
People will read this as negative comment, or negative to the XR etc, but it's not, you can ride, the XR is a great bike - but there's a limit to what a bike can do. When you reach that limit, as you have, either back off and be happy with that, or get yourself a better tool for the job you're trying to do.
dude that one costly to fix and ride safe dude
Hey man. Good thing you're fine. Looks like those crash bars did what they're designed to do and kept the bike in good shape even after a roll over.
Feels bad man. I can deffo feel the "nose smurfs" after the crash. :/ Im no Toprak Razgatioglu but am an advanced rider myself.
