    the amount of times that i thought "nobody will notice" and "it'll be fine" while placing arms
    is imaculate.
    find just one map I made and there will be too many colliding armwalls.
    also my brain finds pleasure from resizing test chambers so details line up

      Tools > Options > 2D Views > Default to 15 degree rotations.

      Actually no, I am new in hammer and for usual test chambers this is easy, only problem is a textures that's very annoying.

    How do you rotate props without using the pitch/yaw/roll numbers in the selection, like at 20:15?

      if you click on the selection it changes between 3 modes of moving.
      scaling
      rotation
      and something else I never use

      @@bean1249 check in the model viewer if you selected the ones with collisions or not. There are ones with collisions which are for direct interactions for the character (where you don't fall through) and some which don't have collisions and are visually cheaper. Last ones are meant for places the player can't reach and just can see from distance.

      Most test elements in the vents are animated props, but since these are only good for very specific arrangement of the tubes, it is recommended to make prop_physic be transported through the tube with the help of trigger_push brushes that will be placed in the tubes, like done in the Pneumatic Diversity Vent test element.

      Alten, I wouldn’t recommend doing that, since the banging of cubes against the pipes can be loud, and it runs the risk of them getting stuck, causing the pipe to clog up and ultimately crash the game.

      Ben 22403 use the clipping tool. it looks like a block of bricks with a corner cut off. It's on the left menu 3rd from bottom.
