I assume that's how the music is stored in the game. All the tracks are always playing, but they're muted, and only one track plays at time depending on where you are on the island. You can hear them all playing at the same time when you use the jukebox cheat since there is no cue to mute the other tracks. This also happens with the character select and Boulder Canyon themes.

@@katshandel2391 En este caso tienes razón pero existió el caso del juego Dinosaur Planet donde Nintendo quiso que pusieran al elenco Star Fox como protagonista y resultó ser un juego muy malo, hoy en día se descubrió una rom del juego original y se veia más prometedor que la versión final sacada
