A lot of people subscribe to a lot of channels they broadly support, but whose content they don't religiously watch.
Conspiracy-oriented users are naturally much more obsessive watchers. If you believe the world is being taken over by powerful forces, and anything you hear could be another vital piece of proof, or advice about how to protect yourself, you stay glued to the screen. That's one reason UA-cam partially tolerates it, makes them more ad revenue.

@@EzyRollin You're right. The only thing that differentiates conspiracy theory from reasonable speculation, is the plausability of the theory relative to the amount of concrete evidence.
UA-cam are a for-profit social media company, so their natural motivation is to make money through ad revenue. This motive isn't obscure or malevolent, it's just basic economics.
UA-cam apply algorithms to user data to increase the accuracy of recommendations. This increases watch time, which makes them more money. It's all just the same profit incentive any business has.
The idea that a global pandemic is a hoax, is not simple. It requires hundreds of millions of people across continents with various, often conflicting, motivations to be in many cases secretly working together, for a not entirely clear purpose, against many of their more obvious motivations. And it would require extraordinary and consistent evidence to prove, and only a small amount of evidence would throw it into question.

Shaun never addressed Jimmy's main points about covid policy. All he was able to do was nitpick about little things. Then he made logical leaps about Jimmy's character. There is a lot of lying by omission. Try watching Jimmy's actual show if you want to give a critique of it. You will see that they are leaving out the most important details when they attack them in these videos. Right or wrong, you can bet your butt it's not a fair hearing. He does the same to them too. It's wrong either way.

Y'know, I remember when he was on here.
Though I also remember being subbed to TYT and watching it daily... until they went super woke a few times, angry screaming at the camera about topics I knew a lot more about than they did, to the point where I was so mad at TYT for veering off course so badly that I couldn't associate anymore.
I don't recall too many specifics now. I basically expunged them from my memory. Though I still recall them getting GamerGate really, really mixed up and it was just embarrassing. lol
I just prefer progressive news rather than progressive spews, and Jimmy made an okay replacement for the spot TYT left behind, with a dash more comedy and laughs and less pretense that he's an actual serious news outlet... while still ironically managing to be one half the time.
He has yet to make me feel baffled, frustrated, out downright wanting to shake the screen and say, "HOW ARE YOU THIS WRONG?!" like TYT did a couple times.
I do miss them, but they've become old hat.
