A basic video describing the steps necessary to replace the low beam light bulb in a 2011 Kia Forte Koup.
This vehicle uses the H11B category low beam bulb. - Авто та транспорт
Thank you very much for your outstanding instruction this is the first time ever I change the headlight of mi kia car. I recently separated I did not wanted to call my husband to help with your video that's all I needed. Thank you.. keep up with your good jjob..👍
FYI, I was able to change both low beam bulbs without removing the housing at all. Nevertheless, your video was extremely helpful in that it gave me the specific steps to do.....saved me a lot of time. Thanks.
Worked like a champ I installed 2 on my 2010 Kia Forte took about 5 minutes no one issue 4 bolts slid out slid in Thanks for the video
Straight to the point, informative and less than 5 mins. Subscribed ✅
Thank you! I was afraid to move the battery, so this was very appreciated. Took just a few minutes...and done! : )
SUPER helpful! This is way better than accessing through the back. Thanks!
Thanks for the video. I wish I had watched this first instead of reading the KIA Owners Manual which incorrectly stated on page# 7-57 on Step#5 to "Disconnect the headlight bulb socket connector" prior to removing the bulb. When I tried to do that, I wound up breaking off part of the post that the wiring connector is mounted onto. Had to reattach with hot glue.
I have found that the fastest and easiest way is to disconnect the wiring loom, remove the two bolts holding the lamp unit and gently pull out the lamp unit. It is much faster than removing the battery, fumbling around trying to correctly seat the bulb and you don't have to reset your radio etc
Very good edits. No boring monologue. Informative. Well done dude!
Thanks. This was easier than the manual would have put it and also I’m glad you called it a stupid design, because it is
Thank you so much! Just what I needed! You explained it so well!
Thanks for the video, this was much simpler than the "remove the battery" method I saw suggested other places. Took 5 minutes
You're welcome. People are suggested the battery method in the comments here as well. It's harder in my opinion.
Thanks so much. Took all of 10 minutes.
This was very helpful! Thanks!
Thanks brother!!!
yes.. you are a genius.. will be changing mine tomorrow..
This was awesome! Thank you so much 🙏🏽
Thank you so much for this video!!!!!
Thanks, this was so helpful
Thank you for the help!
Great job
Thank you kind sir 🙌
Thank you. I have to change the right signal light.
Hello i have a 2011 kia forte sx and planning to install a LED front turn signal but I don’t know which wire (color) should i connect the load resistor.
was able to remove bulb from the back with the help of some old pliers, without having to undo the assembly. Mine is a 2013 but appears exactly the same. Thanx for the vid
On the passenger side I was able to do the same, not sure how easy it would be on the drivers side though
@@jordanbukouricz1144 Have to remove the battery.
Hey, thanx for the video. You mentioned that the new ones are brighter. What's the original temp?
Coming from a single mother, god bless you sir. Thank you
Yesenia Carpenter hey what’s up
Thank you!
Thanks!
So on mine, I put in some new LED bulbs and they fit correctly but for some reason the lights seem like their pointing down directly at the road
I had LEDs in before this new set that DID NOT do that
There are 2 adjustment knobs. You can adjust where the beam points. One knob is for up/down. Other is for left/right.
bravo!!!!!!
thanks for all your help made it easier to take the light off..thanks again
Good vid. Recommend not storing the bolts on the battery, I'd for sure knock them off and down into the engine.
Good point 😅
HI, My friend. Can you help and show me how can replace whole headlight passenger side for Kia forte 2015. Thanks
I dont own that car. Sorry. Should be similar.
I used a pair of pliers to gently get the bulb to turn. It is righty tighty lefty loosy.
Hi! Good video!
What is the number of fog lights?
Number for fog lights is 86.7530.9
Thanks, saved me some struggle. I like that you made sure to edit in "stupid ass design" lol
I felt it was important to mention. Glad you agree!
@@FT099 I definitely DON'T, frankly. There are much...much worse headlight housings to deal with than these! Try doing bulbs on a Dodge Intrepid or some thing like that, where you basically have to pull the front wheels off, and remove the inner fender liners to get access....
Now, THAT'S a "stupid ass design"!
@@revolutionday1 That sounds like Dodge definitely designed that to discourage the DIY repair.
Why are all fortes so loud ? Like the ticking noise mine sounds the same exact way
It wants to pretend it runs on Diesel.
The official answer from KIA is that it's caused by the customer using anything but an OEM KIA parts oil filter. I have acquired one now, and I am going to experiment. They have told me several times now that if you run anything else, the lifters will make that sound.
Wish someone would do this to a 2014 to 2018
Why can't I get the light out. It's too hard to turn :(
chelynnmarie I would suggest putting some work gloves on do you can squeeze harder without hurting your fingers.
You skipped the step on how to remove the wiring to the light blub directly, which is the part I'm stuck at.
The wiring connector for the headlight bulb is screwed down to the assembly and doesn't need to be removed. The owners manual is incorrect. Just twist the bulb handle counter clockwise and the bulb terminals will separate from the wiring connector. I learned that the hard way.
Can’t locate the inside clips…
is it me or am i having a hard time trying to find h11b i looked on Amazon cant find it to save my life
Auto zone $21.99
Good video but and but again why aren't these videos showing the fact that u have to giggle the unit out..u should make a video to show the Tiny heachache involved..they just go fast and are like see its done. no its not u had to put your hand in the front and back to pull it out
awesome video. the design is so stupid. i agree
Bruh, I said that few years ago for this car, and I agree. But, God damn now I bought an old Subaru. You need to remove the whole ass front end of the car to remove the headlight assembly. It is much much worse 🤣 Kia for the win. 2 bolts.
Okay, so that video was pretty good. Okay, but I have one complaint. Okay, you really say 'okay' a lot. Okay, but thank you for the tips! Okay.
Okay, thanks for the feedback. I'll fix it for next time. Okay?
I check out your video... dude, you do not have to unscrew any thing... when you take the cap off, if you turn the back part of the light hard enough, it will pop right out... it is a bit hard to turn but it can be done... and the clips that hold everything in place is hard as hell to get to let alone get loose... I found video to be not at all helpful
Torri Buccola what are u talking about u have to unscrew the head unit and pop it out..trust me I would love to cheat it and just "simply unscrew it so how about u make a video and shown us how to just simply unscrew it
Why not just take the battery out?
KIA!!! 🤬
You intentionally placed a reservoir directly infront of the access to the headlight. Frankly, KIA's eye for detail is horrible.
