Even as a not-medical-professional I know not to pull the penetrating object from a stab wound. As soon as I saw Ichigo go for it I knew something bad was about to happen. Like, just because YOU can pull a sword from your chest and keep going doesn't mean this limbless body in a crystal can. On a side note, "Let's go, AIZEN!" Clap Clap ClapClapClap! p.p.s At the very end of one of the cour 1 episodes, the Soul King speaks to Ichibei through sparkles. I'm fairly sure we still don't know what that message was, but it might be why Ichibei isn't so worried.

Ya you guys got better memory than the viewers. Yhwach already called dude his dad in the last season. Although that whole scene at the table with ichibei was anime only. In the manga this is the first time we ever hear yhwach call the soul king his father. So all those guys got confused maybe. On that note people probably told you but most of the last 4 episodes have been anime only. But this season is a new level. The whole Ichigo vs yhwach is anime only. And they even added some comedic cute moments this episode (cut a few out though too) You the only one I seen who pointed out how weird it is that yhwach blasted Ichigo and he went up instead of back. Hit him with the tractor beam. Fullbring actually wasn’t necessary in the manga. Wasn’t brought up as an important thing. That’s a new anime thing. But Quincy aren’t fullbringers. Quincy are humans but they’re their own subrace. Like how humans have different races. Fullbring is just a particular kind of power some humans have it’s not genetic or anything.

With a perfect hybrid like Ichigo who has Soul Reaper, Hollow, Fullbringer, and Quincy blood in him, running around the 3 worlds, who wouldn't take an opportunity to get him in their pockets

Yhwach approached Aizen in the 1st Cour because Aizen is another transcendent being that has powers from all groups (there is Fullbringer in the Hogyoku, but that is only gone over the novels and I won't say more in case they decide to bring in that content) who could kill the king for Yhwach. If Aizen had agreed, they would have gone up to kill the Soul King together. Also, Aizen didn't just want to meet the king--in that scene with Urahara, Aizen referred to the Soul King as "that thing" specifically because he knows that the Soul King is an observer in crystal. He's just a keystone holding the worlds together and Aizen wanted to destroy him and replace him as the keystone, but while retaining his independence (ie. a god who isn't encased in crystal and immobile). FYI. The Soul King's name was revealed here (it wasn't even in the manga/novels) and it has some context. He is Adonai, which is a Hebrew title for God (similar to the written YHWH that Yhwach's name is based on). This is basically a fight between God, the father, and God, the son, over how screwed up the world is. Only, in this version, the father was the one who was sacrificed (at least, according to Yhwach's narrative).

I love that you guys are real fans of the series. The way you analyze every scene is awesome because there are often hidden details that other reactors might not see. Your reactions are really enjoyable to watch. Bleach has so much depth and nuance, and I feel like it’s still underrated. To me, it’s the best of the Big 3, and with all the new additions Kubo is bringing, Bleach is definitely at the top.
Have to remember Aizen's goal was to take over the soul king too in a sense. He is pissed at the soul king as well, but for different reasons. Aizen doesn't like the feeling of being controlled. But Yhwach is there for revenge and starting everything over. I think your guys end comments are great!
That means he saw all this and Aizen played into Yhwachs hand. The Quincy took 1000 years to prepare. They could’ve attacked during the Arrancar arc. They chose not to. They just let events play out. Aizen heard stories about Yhwach. Aizen wanted to defeat the king. He wouldn’t have been able to because the hogiyoku hasn’t granted him the true power of the soul king with all the species. These primordial beings are gods from their own world. Things like Yhwach being Jesus a demi god. Or ichibei being a primordial entity just like the Soul King. Look up some art work on the soul king and you’ll see his weapon is a sword made from reishi like a Quincy and it looks like a zanpakuto. Remember Quincy are the heirs of the soul king and Yhwach on a true genetic scale. So in the old world they could exist freely. In this one people try to mimic what they can do. Schrifts and Zanpakuto are identical for a reason. Except one has no limits and that is a Schrift because it’s designed to manipulate and use the reishi in all of reality to manifest their abilities and abnormalities that reject the laws of this world. Not saying a zanpakuto can’t over power it. But the Quincy can change the advantage.
"Why did the guy send him up there?" To stall the enemy, while the rest ,the Gotei and vizards, were busy making preparations to get up there themselves. Urahara knew Ichigo and co. could all get killed, and probably saw it as a necessary sacrifice. For the good of Soul Society.
Loved this episode.. My man Yhwach is no joke. I was re watching the old anime for the thousand time and recently saw episode 109 and in the end, Ichigo says this in his mind when he was comforting Mariko (Hollow girl) at her resting place: "If fate is a milestone, then we are the grist. There is nothing we can do. So I wish for strength. If I cannot protect them from the wheel, then give me a strong blade, and enough strength... to shatter fate." Really loved this quote from him and it just gives me hope that It's connected to his powers because Yhwach seems unstoppable with seeing the future right now and it looks like Ichigo stands no chance.

Ichibe predicted that Ichigo's Quincy blood would let Yhwach control him into killing and undoing the seal on the Soul King. It was after all Ichibe who performed the sealing and with Ichigo becoming Soul King, there would be literally no one to undo the seal again.

Y'all are pretty spot on with some of the possibilities y'all brought up. I'll put it this way, Ichigo is essentially a demigod that has the potential to become a true god, in fact, it was hinted at in the previous cour that the training Ichigo did was basically to determine if he was strong enough to become a candidate to be the next soul king. Another thing Ichigo shares in common with the soul king is the fact that the soul king also has the capabilities of all races which is another reason why Ichigo was even considered as a possible candidate to be the next soul king. Also to clarify, Yhwach is where the Quincies began, there is a specific thing that qualifies a person as being a Quincy and it has been said before but the future episodes of this cour should explain what it is in full detail and there is also something that separates Fullbringers from the Quincies. The Fullbringers are connected to the soul king in a certain way but I won't spoil u guys on how. Also, Yhwach did in fact add Aizen to his plans, not necessarily in the sense that he planned out everything that Aizen did but more like he saw the future in which Aizen's experiments would unknowingly create Ichigo and so Yhwach did not interfere in Aizen's plans but instead decided to use Aizen's results to aid in his plan to destroy the 3 worlds. And this is not one of those "Correction" comments because u guys are doing a great job figuring stuff out in the discussions at the end of each video, this comment is just to clarify a few things for u guys that u mentioned u didn't quite understand especially since some of it isn't explicitly stated in the series but rather through Tite Kubo's ongoing Q&A website called "Klub Outside" and also in some of the Bleach light novels. P.S. Lee is the real GOAT for having a Thundercats sword 🔥🔥🔥
Yhwach saw multiple futures a thousand years ago, and carefully picked which ones would lead to this moment. Aizen didn't have that foresight, but still schemed and planned his way to achieve his goals.
The irony being that the Soul King foresaw his son’s rebellion and set everything in motion by having himself dismembered and sealed away so that things would play out exactly as they have. It’s Dr Strange giving Thanos the Time Stone on steroids.

@@tn_animes The Soul King likely did all of this this way and allowed himself to be dismembered because one of the Almighty’s few weaknesses is the flesh of the Soul King being exempt from Yhwach’s future sight making events involving parts of his flesh extremely difficult to predict (prime example is Ichibei using the Soul King’s left arm to seal away Yhwach’s eyesight in that flashback in Cour 2).
Ya, you know something... I am pretty sus about everything now, cause Yhwach needed Ichigo to accomplish his goal... and Ichigo was literally sent up there to "stop" him. Are you telling me Ichibei wouldn't have known that Ichigo was the key to killing the soul king? Then we have Ichibei pretty much confirming out right that they wouldn't be able to win against Yhwach, but not to worry, like as if it's all a part of some plan that he knew would happen. Honestly I like the simple smile/nod reactions. I think some people try really hard and end up overreacting to smth which really isn’t crazy. Y’all have a good mix so don’t feel bad about doing too little or too much.
The only thing I missed this episode was Ichigo calmly drawing a small line in front of him and quietly saying Getsuga Tensho and firing off a MASSIVE one. Come to think of it, the whole context of the new move was changed, but I liked it. Using it on the big boss! They did the "he doesn't have to yell" bit, but the manga execution was so dope. Everything else about the episode was top-notch.

@@erlsweatpants9628 No, there was no "prophecy" for Ichigo to be born. Aizen was the one who actually orchestrated Ichigo's life. Yhwach was just sitting in a coma and watching future. He simply used the situation to his advantage, and had almost nothing to do with Ichigo's life, he's just being an arrogant ass thats copying Aizen. If anything, Yhwach killing Ichigo's mother and Ishida's mother was actually a massive failure on his part. And all of this is a part of Aizen's plan.

Aizen may have put things into motion, but Yhwach saw all of it was gonna happen long long ago. Yhwach is so far above Aizen in power its actually disrespectful; although Aizen is probably smarter. ALSO great callback to Aizen's argument with Urahara because now that you've really seen the Soul King and kinda have some small semblance of how he ended up that way it makes Aizen's disdain for him make so much more sense. Y'all bringing up Fullbringers as an interesting choice made something else click in my brain actually. Fullbringers are human beings with hollow based powers like Chad, Orihime, Ginjo, cousin Tsukishima, etc. but there's something else we learned about them in the light novels that made this particular scene register for me. Idk if they'll bring it up at some point in the anime or if that light novel will be animated (I really hope it does cause it's pretty great) so I won't say what it is

Aizen plans everything for what he wants them to be. Yhwach sees everything for what it is and will be. They're not exactly the same. The master schemer is not the same as a son of a god.
This will maybe help(Spoiler free): Bleach has a lot of symbolism in our world. Y.H. is a clear "Bleach Jesus". His father, the Soul King, is a God. What is then Ichibei? A guy stopping Jesus. In most religions, that guy is either an anti-christ or a fake prophet. He's necessarily bad, but has it's own things. Makes you think "was Aizen right"? + Y.H. makes you think he's good because he basically wants to make Heaven. Attack on Titan shit all over again XD

Ichibei is a loyal servant of the Soul King and is allowing events to play out as his boss foresaw them eons ago as they are the only way to lead to events that kill Yhwach permanently.
Whether he's doing it because of loyalty to the soul king/prophecy or because of other motivations, he's still manipulating others to do his bidding. And semantics aside, he still wants the soul king dead, aka, he wants to kill the soul king On another note, Bleach's story is still developing and it could very well likely be something else that the Soul King foresaw, and Yhwach is just another part of it and not the finale. Unless you can prove that the Soul King's Almighty cast see past one's death

Yeah ngl even though Aizen is weaker in terms of powerscaling I still prefer him as a villain. He didn’t really fear Yamamoto either. Being cautious and being afraid are two different things. Aizen was always cautious yet very rarely afraid. Regardless, imo he’s better cause he himself had to plan everything that happened by himself and couldn’t rely on the power of foresight. He worked his way up to becoming a transcendent being, as permanent as the world itself. He didn’t come from some special lineage and wasn’t born as the literal son of god with special powers. He was just some guy who saw something he didn’t like in the world and tried to change it.

Even as a not-medical-professional I know not to pull the penetrating object from a stab wound. As soon as I saw Ichigo go for it I knew something bad was about to happen. Like, just because YOU can pull a sword from your chest and keep going doesn't mean this limbless body in a crystal can.

Although that whole scene at the table with ichibei was anime only. In the manga this is the first time we ever hear yhwach call the soul king his father. So all those guys got confused maybe.
On that note people probably told you but most of the last 4 episodes have been anime only. But this season is a new level. The whole Ichigo vs yhwach is anime only. And they even added some comedic cute moments this episode (cut a few out though too)
You the only one I seen who pointed out how weird it is that yhwach blasted Ichigo and he went up instead of back. Hit him with the tractor beam.
Fullbring actually wasn’t necessary in the manga. Wasn’t brought up as an important thing. That’s a new anime thing. But Quincy aren’t fullbringers. Quincy are humans but they’re their own subrace. Like how humans have different races. Fullbring is just a particular kind of power some humans have it’s not genetic or anything.

Yhwach approached Aizen in the 1st Cour because Aizen is another transcendent being that has powers from all groups (there is Fullbringer in the Hogyoku, but that is only gone over the novels and I won't say more in case they decide to bring in that content) who could kill the king for Yhwach. If Aizen had agreed, they would have gone up to kill the Soul King together. Also, Aizen didn't just want to meet the king--in that scene with Urahara, Aizen referred to the Soul King as "that thing" specifically because he knows that the Soul King is an observer in crystal. He's just a keystone holding the worlds together and Aizen wanted to destroy him and replace him as the keystone, but while retaining his independence (ie. a god who isn't encased in crystal and immobile).
FYI. The Soul King's name was revealed here (it wasn't even in the manga/novels) and it has some context. He is Adonai, which is a Hebrew title for God (similar to the written YHWH that Yhwach's name is based on). This is basically a fight between God, the father, and God, the son, over how screwed up the world is. Only, in this version, the father was the one who was sacrificed (at least, according to Yhwach's narrative).

Your reactions are really enjoyable to watch. Bleach has so much depth and nuance, and I feel like it’s still underrated. Have to remember Aizen's goal was to take over the soul king too in a sense. He is pissed at the soul king as well, but for different reasons. Aizen doesn't like the feeling of being controlled. But Yhwach is there for revenge and starting everything over. I think your guys end comments are great!

That means he saw all this and Aizen played into Yhwachs hand. The Quincy took 1000 years to prepare. They could’ve attacked during the Arrancar arc. They chose not to. They just let events play out. Aizen heard stories about Yhwach. Aizen wanted to defeat the king. He wouldn’t have been able to because the hogiyoku hasn’t granted him the true power of the soul king with all the species. These primordial beings are gods from their own world. Things like Yhwach being Jesus a demi god. Or ichibei being a primordial entity just like the Soul King. Look up some art work on the soul king and you’ll see his weapon is a sword made from reishi like a Quincy and it looks like a zanpakuto. Remember Quincy are the heirs of the soul king and Yhwach on a true genetic scale. So in the old world they could exist freely. In this one people try to mimic what they can do. Schrifts and Zanpakuto are identical for a reason. Except one has no limits and that is a Schrift because it’s designed to manipulate and use the reishi in all of reality to manifest their abilities and abnormalities that reject the laws of this world. Not saying a zanpakuto can’t over power it. But the Quincy can change the advantage.

I was re watching the old anime for the thousand time and recently saw episode 109 and in the end, Ichigo says this in his mind when he was comforting Mariko (Hollow girl) at her resting place:
"If fate is a milestone, then we are the grist. There is nothing we can do. So I wish for strength. If I cannot protect them from the wheel, then give me a strong blade, and enough strength... to shatter fate."
Really loved this quote from him and it just gives me hope that It's connected to his powers because Yhwach seems unstoppable with seeing the future right now and it looks like Ichigo stands no chance.

Y'all are pretty spot on with some of the possibilities y'all brought up. I'll put it this way, Ichigo is essentially a demigod that has the potential to become a true god, in fact, it was hinted at in the previous cour that the training Ichigo did was basically to determine if he was strong enough to become a candidate to be the next soul king. Another thing Ichigo shares in common with the soul king is the fact that the soul king also has the capabilities of all races which is another reason why Ichigo was even considered as a possible candidate to be the next soul king. Also to clarify, Yhwach is where the Quincies began, there is a specific thing that qualifies a person as being a Quincy and it has been said before but the future episodes of this cour should explain what it is in full detail and there is also something that separates Fullbringers from the Quincies. The Fullbringers are connected to the soul king in a certain way but I won't spoil u guys on how. Also, Yhwach did in fact add Aizen to his plans, not necessarily in the sense that he planned out everything that Aizen did but more like he saw the future in which Aizen's experiments would unknowingly create Ichigo and so Yhwach did not interfere in Aizen's plans but instead decided to use Aizen's results to aid in his plan to destroy the 3 worlds. And this is not one of those "Correction" comments because u guys are doing a great job figuring stuff out in the discussions at the end of each video, this comment is just to clarify a few things for u guys that u mentioned u didn't quite understand especially since some of it isn't explicitly stated in the series but rather through Tite Kubo's ongoing Q&A website called "Klub Outside" and also in some of the Bleach light novels.

Yhwach saw multiple futures a thousand years ago, and carefully picked which ones would lead to this moment. Aizen didn't have that foresight, but still schemed and planned his way to achieve his goals.
The irony being that the Soul King foresaw his son’s rebellion and set everything in motion by having himself dismembered and sealed away so that things would play out exactly as they have. It’s Dr Strange giving Thanos the Time Stone on steroids.

@@tn_animes The Soul King likely did all of this this way and allowed himself to be dismembered because one of the Almighty’s few weaknesses is the flesh of the Soul King being exempt from Yhwach’s future sight making events involving parts of his flesh extremely difficult to predict (prime example is Ichibei using the Soul King’s left arm to seal away Yhwach’s eyesight in that flashback in Cour 2).

He simply used the situation to his advantage, and had almost nothing to do with Ichigo's life, he's just being an arrogant ass thats copying Aizen.
If anything, Yhwach killing Ichigo's mother and Ishida's mother was actually a massive failure on his part. And all of this is a part of Aizen's plan.

It’s the Soul King that imbues the Zero division with their immortality and powers in general. Ichibei is a loyal servant of the Soul King and is allowing events to play out as his boss foresaw them eons ago as they are the only way to lead to events that kill Yhwach permanently.
Whether he's doing it because of loyalty to the soul king/prophecy or because of other motivations, he's still manipulating others to do his bidding. And semantics aside, he still wants the soul king dead, aka, he wants to kill the soul king
On another note, Bleach's story is still developing and it could very well likely be something else that the Soul King foresaw, and Yhwach is just another part of it and not the finale. Unless you can prove that the Soul King's Almighty cast see past one's death

Yeah ngl even though Aizen is weaker in terms of powerscaling I still prefer him as a villain. He didn’t really fear Yamamoto either. Being cautious and being afraid are two different things. Aizen was always cautious yet very rarely afraid. Regardless, imo he’s better cause he himself had to plan everything that happened by himself and couldn’t rely on the power of foresight. He worked his way up to becoming a transcendent being, as permanent as the world itself. He didn’t come from some special lineage and wasn’t born as the literal son of god with special powers. He was just some guy who saw something he didn’t like in the world and tried to change it.
