The picture frame on the left @2:01 showing the difference between single pin design & the double pin design shows what looks like a faint crack in the lower brake shoe for the double pin design. And It looks like there is a faint crack in the upper shoe for the single design as well.

Hi I was wondering if you could explain to me what causes the friction in the adjustment setup. more specificy what cause the friction when backing of a brake half a turn after I have adjust the brake on, adjusting the brake on is always easy whereas releasing the brake half a turn of often is a lot harder. im asking this because sometimes I get an asa then is seemingly as easy in bothe directions ?
