We should not use gypsum in saline soil sir because it can add to the salt problem. Gypsum is soluble and can increase salinity. The calcium in gypsum displaces sodium from the exchange complex, which can also increase salinity.

In Vidarbha (Nagpur Division) we call it Black Cotton Soil, it's rich in organic Carbon, anything you sow here grows into a huge harvest.
Sadly, our climate is very dry and hot but with climate change it's getting humid and that's why we are known as the "farmer suicide capital of the world" and not just the tiger capital or orange city.
