I watched Winter Sonata in 2002 (Philippines) then in Canada (several times in Dec 2021, Jan - Feb 2022) I really love this series, it's not only a great love story ever filmed in world entertainment history. It's really the best Korean drama series I've ever seen, for me to nothing beats Winter Sonata, it's the best of the best! The tremendous success of WINTER SONATA, would not be made possible without the superb performance or portrayal of roles of the whole cast especially BAE YONG JOON & CHOI JI WOO, plus the Director himself, as well as the beautiful background music or the theme songs, which were perfect in every scene! Most of all, the beautiful aura of the lead stars - the prince-perfect aura, the blond wavy hair, terrific nose, that killer smile, the manly/gentleman gestures of BAE YONG JOON are something unique compared to other Korean actors nowadays! and of course, the pretty angelic face of CHOI JI WOO are really perfect chemistry in the series!

I watched WS at 2005. Since then I watched many other K dramas And up till now I found it still is the best Kdrama ever. It's OST still attacked my heart and mind of its sorrowful but very beautiful love story. The actors played the roles amazingly natural. Even the most popular actor from nowadays drama couldn't beat them, imo. WS is my first love of Kdrama. My longing for great drama was only relieved when I found TKEM and discovered the good story and performances of its excellent actors, especially KGE, also all those lovely OSTs.
