  • Written in 1953, the piece was rediscovered as part of the "Andrés Segovia Archive" by Angelo Gilardino after the passing away of the Andalusian Master. While making use of a formal structure that tends to be Baroque, the composer manages to infuse into the harmonic development the essential features of his musical identity (music from the Jewish and Polish heritage and influences from the French school of the time). As in the "Scherzino" of the famous Cavatina the composer resort to the tremolo technique here as well in order to give a peculiar expressive force to the composition.
