A Festival of Korean Dance 2024

This Spring, prepare to be captivated at the 7th edition of A Festival of Korean Dance! The festival returns to The Place in London with additional shows at The Lowry in Manchester, Tramway in Glasgow, Dance City in Newcastle and Pavilion Dance South West in Bournemouth.

The festival kicks off on 16th May at Tramway in Glasgow!
This year’s opening performance, Kontemporary Korea, is a captivating double bill featuring two contrasting works. The programme introduces Cheol-in Jeong, a leading choreographer known for his virtuosic and emotive pieces under the name Melancholy Dance Company. Alongside him is audience favourite Sung Im Her, bringing her high energy and engaging personality back to A Festival of Korean Dance. Kontemporary Korea is a touring performance, so don’t miss it when it visits Newcastle, London, and Bournemouth after Glasgow!
We’ve also got something special lined up for the premiere of Ae-soon Ahn’s production ‘CHEOK’ at The Place and The Lowry as well as Burnt Offering by 99 Art Company at The Place.
