I am so glad I found you ladies. With all of your stitching talking all about cross-stitch a and other stitching. I was cross-stitching for along time and then in my town it is difficult to find books, threads and fabric. But, I plan to keep watching you ladies because you are awesome . I miss stitching, I have alot of finished pieces that need to be framed. Then I have a stitched country quilt I have wanted to stitch for years. Hopefully while I continue to watch and enjoy your stitching, my mojo will kick in. Take care and enjoy your month together.
Madison, I love your Hawk run. Bonnie, one of my friends suggested putting your bag in the freezer to unstick the paper from the vinyl. She said if for some reason that doesn't work...do the opposite and heat it with a hair dryer. Lol. It might save your pattern. She places a piece of parchment paper between the vinyl and her pattern when she knows it will be in the hot car during travel. I think that's a great idea. Happy stitching ladies. 🧵🪡
Love, love, love your channel! Wow, that Hawk Run is beautiful. I am an Aida only stitcher also so I am glad to have found you two. Thank you for sharing your stitching with us.
Nice idea on storing the x stitch patterns in a binder. I do just that for all my printed quilt patterns w/dividers for the different pre-cut patterns. Don’t know why I didn’t think of it for x stitch, too. ❤ your WIPS and great job on your FFO’s. Interesting video and enjoyed it all. Thank you!
Thank you so much for the tip for storing patterns. Such a good idea. I'm usually looking through all my patterns which is time consuming. Madison, I love your finish of Map of Hawkrun Hollow, such a great accomplishment and I live the fabric you stitched it on.
U2 have created a monster! Since I’ve joined your channel I have completed Witching Hour from the Prairie Schooler, Christmas Tree Farm from thePrairie Schooler,Farmhouse Sampler from Erin Elizabeth designs,Shine on Quilt crossstitch, Flea Market Flowers from Lori Holt, Live on Little from Plum Street Samplers is at the framers, A Type of Christmas from Erin Elizabeth. I have the Snow Village just about done with only one more pattern and the centre banner to finish I’m also working on Noel Redwork and I have six other projects kitted up. So happy to have met you both! I’ve completely travelled to the Dark Side!
So good to see you both again. Madison, I love your Hawk Run Hollow finish as it is beautiful. Bonnie, love your American Finn as well as the 7 snow people runner. Fall is my favorite time of the year as well, so looking forward to starting a new fall project. Thank you for the organization tips. Really like the thought of putting patterns in 3 ring binders. Do you also store any books ( like Blackbird has) in your binders as well? I think you should do a live while you both are sewing project bags and you can talk about how you make them. That care and happy stitching.
Most books we do not store that way. But you could. We hope to do a little tutorial on the bags when we are together in Sept. So look for that video in a couple of weeks :)
Great floss tube absolutely loved hawk run Map was gorgeous. And the wool appliqué of the snowman is beautiful. Snowman are my favorite. Can’t wait to see what you ladies do next time. Have a great weekend.
Yeah! Happy to settle in after a day in the yard to relax and see your floss tube....I'm working on my Hawk run hollow maps, yes I'm copying Madison's creation....love your floss tube and all your creativity....Have a great rest of the weekend....
Hi, this is my first time watching your flosstube and I enjoyed it so much. You can use project rolls for your cross stitch pieces. Since you make project bags, project rolls would be easy for you. I made one from fabric that I layered and lightly quilted and added 2 pockets on the inside to hold my threads. They can be as wide and long as you need them to be. Vonna Pfeiffer has a floss tube video on how to make one with a cardboard mailing tube also.
Hey guys nice to see you again! Great finishes love hawk run and the giant whale. I started stitching fall already too. Hope you have a great visit in September looking forward to your next video.
I so enjoy your FT! Your FFO’s and FO’s are all so beautiful! Congrats on the big Hawk Run finish Madison!!! 🥳 I’m still stitching Summer (bees and sunflowers and a few everyday pieces,) but it is HOT here in NoCal… 108 yesterday and today. I also love stitching Fall/Halloween, but I’m not feeling it yet. Happy stitching!
When I’m done stitching a pattern that’s waiting to be finished, I’ll roll it on an empty paper towel or aluminum foil paper tube. For keeping your WIPS in project bags, maybe if you put a piece of batting on before you fold it, the folds wouldn’t have such deep creases.
Try shaking some cornstarch baby powder into your project bag and also put the bag in your freezer for a few hours. That might loosen it with out more damage
I enjoyed your video. I actually organize my Crosstitch patterns in binders like you guys do. I have them by seasons and then I even have some that are specific themes like farm stitches or bees or spiritual sayings. I also love all the prairie schooler Halloween and fall stitches. I’ve recently added some of the fun summer ones to my wish list to do in the future. Keep up the great ideas!
Do you all think your pattern storage saves space as well? I started to do so, but then I realized I was having a few 2nd thoughts when removing the pattern bags to a storage spot 😂😂. Always interesting to see what the heck I’m oddly attached to!
I think that it helps me stay organized having my patterns by theme or season. I think it saves space in my craft room and makes it easy for me to find patterns.@@gingermccafferty9572
Enjoyed so much. I’m also ready for fall stitching! Stitching finishes are great! So pretty. Bonnie your quilting is over the moon. Thank you both for sharing!
It doesn’t stick to the plastic because they are archival safe. Try using a hair dryer on the lowest heat setting to release the pattern from the vinyl.
Hey you two, love watching you both. Yes love fall weather, season, stitching fall and Halloween items. Have bought a lot of your scissors Bonnie and excited when your shop opens back up. And bought a t-shirt from Madison and can't wait to get it.
Congrats Madison on the big finish! Really like how you finished your whale piece Bonnie. I am planning on doing the Salem Sisters from Primrose this month.
You have prepped 75 project bags? Are you selling some or are they all for you two? Hawk Run Hollow finish is amazing…so many people start but it stays a wip. When I start a project, I never fold it again. I have put a cotton pillow case around a half pool noodle and then wrap the projects around it. I have four pool noodles with a variety of stitches on them.
Wow Madison!!! Congratulations on your fully finished Hawk Run Hollow Map. It is beautiful. I have kitted Autumn at Hawk Run Hollow but I’m in the middle of Christmas at HRH. I was thinking about doing Autumn on the Tuscan that you used for your map. Hmmmmmmmm
I do not iron the bobbinated DMC. Instead, I use a damp sponge once they are on floss drops. I find it a lot easier than an iron, and I have not had any of the DMC bleed when I used the sponge (not soaked, just damp).
Beautiful finishes both of you. Map of Hawk Run Hollow is a biggie! I love your WIP's. I think I'm about ready for fall too. I loved all of your tips for organizing all the things.
Ladies do you have a master list of your patterns in the front of your binders or on your computers? Love love love your finishes but man that Hawk Run is gorgeous❤congrats on finishing it! I cant wait to see what you pick next to work on… fall in hawkrun? I love the Christmas one and am considering starting it myself but I have several Mira’s and lots of smaller things going so I’m just not sure? Well blessings to you both❤❤
Oh no we don't but what a great idea! Thanks for the kind words! I am sooo excited about finishing Hawk Run Map! Start the Christmas one! I love that one too.
Hi Madison - I just looked at your Etsy site. I loved it since I’m a retired medical Technologist who specialized in blood banking. Congratulations on finishing Hawkrun Hollow, it’s beautiful. Bonnie - I live in Colorado also. Where in CO do u live? Love your flosstubes
@@UnfinishedStitches hi Bonnie - I live in Windsor. You should think about coming to Colorado cross stitcher stitch night. Let me know if you are interested. We meet 6-8 on Wednesday.

Bonnie, a while back you showed a wool on cotton quilt top with some fish on the bottom of it. The blocks with the applique were large. I would love to know the pattern name. Thank you and I love your videos!
Thanks for watching! I think it was a BOM that I had done called "Girl Gang" and it was by Jan Patek. It was a really long time ago, at least 11 for sure.
If you run out of thread on another project, and the new does not match: Start blending one strand of each. I love your Hawk Run finish!! Was the pattern that stuck an original, or a PDF you printed?
