    My grandma told me the same story where the Japanese would chop off the Chamorros heads and kick them into their grave. Sad sad history, love the podcast though. 😔🙏

      My great grandpa told me a story like that and it will live in me forever! He watched his brothers and sisters get their heads chopped off.. 😢💔

      These are from pictographs in the caves predating the other Micronesian islands so know what you’re talking about.

    Is it cultural appropriation if someone plays any character of another race? No. It's a character specific costume meant to bring joy to the wearer attempting to cosplay their favorite character, and should be treated as such. The line is drawn at false claims of culture membership when they are not a member of the culture or ethnic group they claim to be in. But Halloween? Nah. If we bend a knee to that,what's next? Can't go salsa dancing bc it's cultural appropriation? Nobody batted an eye at anyone dressing up like captain america in different countries,just sayin 😂
