Me: "I think I'm finally figuring out all the types of card variants." ONE: "Hold my beer." For real, all these different versions are making my head spin. Not that they are not cool looking! Because they very much are. Obviously early, but you got some good hits I'd say! The Indominus Rex in the fancy pants version andthe Jin also in a fancy-pants version? Nice.
Admittedly it’s tough to keep up with because now we have art with non-foil version, regular foil, and step and complete foiling. So not only do we have different art variants but three variants on the same art. They look great but it’s a pain to keep up with.
Ian sorta confused on that last hit. Is that a like a list card but for the collector box? Wasn’t sure why the kamigawa symbol was used. Might be a dumb question, but honestly wasn’t sure 😅
Perfectly reasonable question. They have each Praetor a concept art for t whatever their last version was. So Elesh from this set, Jin from Kamigawa, Vorinclex from Kaldheim, etc. I think thematically it’s about them converging and for collecting it was to give people who might be newer a chance to get Praetors from last sets. They look really good.
@@WildcatMTG awesome! Makes sense. Although that would be interesting to see higher dollar list hits in the collector boxes 🕵️♀️ Also, I’d love to join your patreon, money is just a little tight at the moment.
Great video! 🙂 Not to kill the vibe, but I'm a little disappointed in the art personally. I'm having a hard time with the ichor alt art. To me it looks similar to the Double Feature aesthetic which was just tough to differentiate. I know that from the early days of the game one of the primary directives for mtg art design was to 'be recognizable from across the table.' Granted my experience with these cards comes from this video and the LRR Pre-Pre-Release on my phone, I look at that pile of manga art/ichor style cards and my brain just can't interpret the 3-tone, intentionally busy designs. Also, I think Jin posing for his Insta in the BSZ art is hilarious. 😆 (I'm actually not sure if that's supposed to be a blue sun? Or just his Kamehameha charging up? 🤷♂️)
The distinguishable nature of the cards from across the table (especially in sleeves) is a legitimate gripe/concern. I will say they look much better in person than I thought they would having seen a couple box openings myself. Jin has to show off everyone once in awhile… it’s not enough to rule, you gotta look cool doing it.
The more I watch packs being opened the more excited I get, in a nongigidy way. Awesome opening, the cards look amazing! Thanks for sharing!
I even think this box was pretty medium. The laminate on the step foiling looks really good in person. Set seems quite good.
Hype for the great Jin! Love the chance at getting the old preators with the new art. Looking forward to more openings of this powerful set!
I was really happy with that hit at the end! Card looks incredible!
Nice pulls! I love the new foiling, but am worried about it being easily damaged. Have a great weekend Wildcat
Yeah, we’ll see how the foiling holds up. That’s always the tough part about fancy versions of cards.

No worries at all! Just you taking the time to watch the video, like, and interact with me is seriously appreciated bro!
Nice Jin-Gitaxous in that full foil wicked
It does look pretty roc n’roll!
I love this set sooooo much
I’m really enjoying it as well. It’s really strong and has a ton of value.

Is that going into Sedris to look amazing while being immensely annoying? 😅
