It is the DUTY on the part of AIRTEL to inform their customer well in advance on any issues of their SIM. It is called "QUALITY OF SERVICE", unfortunately many Indian Companies do not believe in QUALITY, instead Quantity & profit. Earlier BSNL was doing such service, its end result is visible on BSNL all over the country. If this is the practice from the side of Airtel, I will switch over to another provider without hesitation.
But jio is doing same thing
I purchased it 1 day before and today my sim is not working and they take 100 rupees for sim and 219 rupees for recharge.... I don't have a tree of money to take a new one every day
Today I have an online exam which requires verification of phone number and my sim is not working suddenly now what am I supposed to doo this sim is in my father's name and he is at his office...I'm doomed

Same problem happened with my family member sometime back and since the sim was taken from a different City had to travel all the way to the city from which sim was taken for this issue! Horrible experience with Airtel.

My Airtel sim was blocked few days back and I went to customer care and they told the sim will be made postpaid and not prepaid if I want the same number again 😞 I had to take new jio sim and my bank account was also in that Airtel number It's a new trick of Airtel to generate revenue

This happens in my family member after visiting abroad for short period (1Year). Pl suggest how the SIM card owner will authenticate biomatric KYC. Otherwise in this case Passport details or visa number etc. also do the KYC work. Upgrade SIM should be posted/Courier to sim holder.
No one gives remedy to solve sim blocked and the SIM holder go abroad and unable to take upgrade SIM through KYC approval from abroad. The TRAI Should give suggestion in this matter?

@@nila_g yes unfortunately i have to go for their postpaid plan and now i will able to switch to prepaid after 3 to 4 months as of their terms and conditions
