They look gorgeous and I think the glass pots give a nice "aquarium like" vibe to it! We have lots of bulbs here and I've just realized how beautiful they can be indoors, if designed properly!
I m also a gardener new in the field, i watch these videos with lot of interest & always save them for future use & guidance, you got some outstanding gardening skills 🌺💐🌹
Thanks, as a chef, in school they taught us all the elements of entertaining. That includes of course food, music, color schemes- napkins etc, flowers, textures etc. The bulbs I used were are called "prechilled". If you just grab bulbs and plant theym they will not grow because they need to go through the dormant stage of sleeping through the winter.....aka "prechilling" They have been kept in a between 40-48 F for weeks so they want to bloom when they are put into the dirt or force bloomer. You can buy "prechilled" bulbs all year long and have tulips etc inside or outside and then cut them and bring them inside. I put comments on where to buy some in the description.
These are absolutely beautiful! What a great idea, a plant is so much prettier than just some flowers in a vase. I can tell you are an awesome host to your guests!!
Thanks- my chefs taught me a long time ago everything as it relates to table design , environmental design, acoustics music beats per minute in music, growing food, to make people feel comfortable when they visit without making a fuss. I love force blooming- I do it all year but you have to get “ prechilled “ bulbs which means they have been kept at 38F- 42F for them to think they have gone through a winter- then when plant them they bloom. You can get any bulb “prechilled “on Amazon or do it yourself In you fridge. Paper whites don’t need ore chilling they just plant and grow. I do tulips in Jan in pots and I love it! I love flowers all over the house everywhere.
My chefs in school taught us to do everything, design- plan music , color, table design, temperature of the room, etc- but I don’t think they teach that anymore.
Hi Melissa- one thing I didn’t say is that if you want to force bloom they need to be “prechilled” the amaryllis I purchased are always “prechilled” meaning they are hardened and kept in 40F for 6-8 weeks. If you just get regular bulbs and don’t let them “harden” in the ground they won’t bloom well. So if you like flowers like me- I order from Amazon “prechilled” then I plant hyacinths tulips and I have fresh flowers almost all year. Paper whites will bloom when ever you plant them. Love you! Happy Thanksgiving!
